Woohoo BOP! Can't wait. Blacktown supporters are classier! Should be plenty of kids there. Great location and super easy to get to. Plenty of parking.

I just hope Blacktown and surrounding areas do us proud!!

You can be sure to see PLENTY of Red and Black!!!! Spartans strips might be Orange and Black but the rest of their gear is Red and Black. Lots of Spartans juniors including the girls.

Will be a great atmosphere!!!

Super excited!

I'm pretty sure there's no pubs or rsl's or anything within walking distance :(

I'm sure Benched will find one somewhere ;)

A thought, can we get some of those flyers made up to promote this site, similar to the ones that went around at some of the forums?

We will have thousands of people at the game again that may not know about this place, great opportunity

Lone Pine Tavern, Rooty Hill, close to the station and then a 1.4 km walk to the stadium

Mmmmmm, tempting....

Guy's I'm going to struggle to make this one. I'm sure Taurus or Red will find a suitable drinking establishment.

I was thinking of something similar but killing two birds with one stone by bordering the chant sheets with RBB name, Logo, FB, Twitter and the Forum. So maybe a 1-2cm black border with the white text containing the information people will probably want after the game.

I was actually thinking of getting some shirts made up so a few willing individuals, myself included, could distribute flyers, stickers etc. Something along the lines of a white shirt with westsydneyfootball.com on the chest followed by a slogan or logo underneath. This would give a more professional look and drive more people to the site? Just an idea.

At the moment it seems more important the forum establishes a public presence, giving individuals a pathway to the RBB or perhaps even just getting them more involved as a supporter.

Anyone had experience with this? Obviously I don't want to spend a fortune, just trying to do my bit.

This game should hopefully test the boys a bit more and give us an idea of how they are going, I'm really looking forward to it.

Awesome idea. I'll call one of my contacts tomorrow and see what kind of turnaround they can manage on a small run. Don't hold your breath on next Wednesday though. Just to play devil's advocate we might be better served avoiding the logo and going for text only for 2 reasons.

  1. Even on a screen-print there will be a set-up time required and approval process for artwork that at best take a few hours, at worst weeks.
  2. You're looking instantly at a set-up cost for any custom artwork, plus the cost of the garment and the print job itself.

Cool, I'm really only going off google so any help is appreciated. Simplicity should work best anyway. I'll have a look more local to me as well and see whats available. Let me know. It is only a very simple idea thus my hope for a short turnaround.

Qick heads up for the Sydney United game. They have an extra grass area behind one of the goals. Though this area is hardly open during the NSW prem league, I will try my best to convice the groundsman to open it up for the RBB. As of the cost to watch the game, they don't know if they will make it free entry or not, i'll keep you all informed.

PS: I work at the club xD

RBB!

just my opinion, i would have 2 seperate bits of paper for the chants and to promote the site.

there will be plenty of families and kids who want to know about WSW, but may not want to be a part of the RBB.

have a couple of hundred chant sheets which are handed out to people singing with the RBB, or throughout the game as the group gets bigger like it did at Nepean, and have a couple of thousand sheets of paper for the rest of the ground which have the official WSW website, this forum, and the relevant FB and Twitter addresses. printing on paper costs very little also !!!

(for those that have ties with the club, what chance of getting 4-5 Wanderers jackets, and having forum members walk around in the jackets handing out the flyers ? )

the more people that know. the better

I have a tiff. file which contains the WSF Forum flyers, 4 to a page, which I'll attempt to load later today.

I can probably email it to Mack and see if he can upload for people to print them off.

Yeh I wasn't wanting to promote the website and RBB as one in the same. The message has to be clear so we have to establish this website first. People can than see how active they want to be. I like your idea on the jackets, especially because walking around in a shirt would be freezing lol, but I would assume the club would be worried about us looking like we are representing them officially. Who knows it's worth a try.

Surely we'll be revisiting the Rooty RSL Club (site of the fan forum #3) prior to the game.

We wouldn't have to if they would let me buy some merchandise. :P

Thanks for the flyers.

I'm deso for the spartan's game. If anyone needs a lift from whatever pub you are at let me know because I'm driving there. Got four spots in the car free!

Really looking forward to this after I couldn't make the Nepean game

Same here, I'll try and make it so we can finally catch up. My poor lack of showing at NSWPL games is.. well, poor. :unknw:
