With his pace he can easily get in behind the defence , im not sure how good a finisher he is, but if he does play hopefully it will stop all these pointless crosses.

I am pretty sure Popa has his reasons for picking players, it certainly wouldnt be what race they are either.

I would like to think Popa would pick players based on ability or on a certain team structure he wants to play.

By the way I would like to see Dino benched myself and Gibbs or Kubi getting a run.

I have certainly let my views on who I think are the two best A league players are, one is a Kiwi of Chilean decent Marcos Rojas.

The other is an Aussie with Serbian heritage in Rogic. What does that make me then, a confused Aussie croat.

You can hardly say the Croats have been defending Dino. We are the first ones who want him benched. He is keeping who I think is a better player on the bench in Gibbs. Why Popa is playing him is beyond me, but he obviously has his reasons. But the patience is wearing thin for the fans of WSW.

I wont tolerate anyone who boos any of our players. Thats the defence I was putting up. Its got nothing to do with Dino being a Cro. Its to do with the fact that he is a Wanderer. As much as we also love Beauchamp, he also didnt have the best game last week. Does that mean people start booing our Capt.

Lets just ease back on the race issues or favouritism because he is Cro. Its got nothing at all to do with it.

Well if the defend him they are f*cking stupid. It doesn't take a genius to see he is not up to scratch, but the whole basis of this argument was that you original put the idea forward that Popa picked Dino based on the same Croatian background as himself. I cant work out the reason shlob why Popa is picking Dino, but I dont think its because of that.

There are plenty of one eyed supporters both Croatian and Serbian and you know what I am talking about. Who cant look past the whole race thing. I am not one of those people. Pick players based on their merit and not where they are from. If Rogic for example was available for the WSW I would chase that GUN in an instant. I dont care where they are from, a good player is a good player. A bad player same story.

I am absolutely certain that Popa is not picking Dino just because he is Croatian. I will be curious to see if he benches Dino tomorrow. I hope he does. We need Gibbs out there.

The only problem is, he is slow. If he had bit of pace on him, he would be a good striker. he's just bit too slow for the league here atm. But he might get into form. Personally id put him in the youth squad for a few weeks to get his fitness/speed up and score a few goals to get some confidence back.

if popa were picking players due to race would we see Ono, NTS, Kubi, Hersi?

The conditions here in Wellington are miserable! There is a constant, cold, driving wind with intermittent showers. It was a big shock getting off the plane especially leaving Sydney at 42c.

Town itself is nice and quaint but too many cafes compares to pubs. Four Kings has the best sports bar set up I've ever seen though .... Recliners in front of several big screens!

Would be a big 3 points, ive definitely realised why Nix are so strong at home though.

It also proves that Kiwi writers/commentators are the most biased out there with massive chips on their collective shoulders.

There are many people who feel as frustrated as you. But I think you should just let this one go. Especially on this forum where it is a tight knit group of supporters.

The thing is even if a lot of what you say has a lot of truth to it, you come across as bitter (and using race theories sounds really dumb). If he is rubbish like a lot of us think, then over time he will be outed from the team anyway. I was thinking maybe the reason Popa is playing him is because we spent big money on him, and Popa has to justify his player choice to the club.

There could be several reasons why he is still being played. But I don't think you are doing yourself any favours (at least on this forum) by coming out with all guns blazing, and sticking it to him. We are very well aware of what is going on. Just be patient and follow the club like the rest of us. It's not a Croatian boys club, and it never will be. I assure you of that.

We are lightweight up front and can't see what the nix defence has to be worried about, we've scored 4 goals and had an own goal in 8 games. That's pretty piss week if you ask me.
