10 to 12k would look decent at parra stadium. We can then build on this as the season goes on, especially off the large crowd we'll get in round 3.

All eyes will be on us in the first couple of rounds and a few idiots could easily ruin it.

If we push 15, it will be great in Parra stadium and can get quite loud.

RBB is going to have a proper audience for once and not 1500 people. Let's show em what we are made of and how loud we can be.

Speaking of the unfortunate Campbelltown incident, what was going on with speccy and the donation to that kid/his team? I remember it being said that there'd be a handing over of a signed jersey or something to that affect? Or has that idea been scrapped to a degree (i.e. not in public?) as we don't want to remind people of the incident?

if i remember rightly, the NRL had all 4 west syd team captains on a billboard (panthers, eels, doggies & tigers)

would be great if they had Beauchamp on a billboard with the same thing,

even derby game, have Beauchamp & McCrap facing each other & having a note sayin "Choose your Alliegance"

that would be sick as :)

Thats mad, stick on on the M4, M5, hume highway & parramatta rd, right on the borders where the west starts to merge into the inner west lol

Yeah, Parra Stadium is top quality for watching the game, even Ono was excited by it.

Anyone got a recent PAX number on their ticket?

Anyone got a recent PAX number on their ticket?

I bought 5 tickets last week and the highest pax # is 1847. That number must not include members but still we will be lucky to pull 8,000 going by that figure.

I hope pre sales improve this week or its not gonna look good :sorry:. Those incidents at Campbelltown did do massive damage unfortunetly as did all the media beat up of the SUFC trial match.

Pax means nothing..

I disagree.. What stalled wanderers was the signing of del piero and the weeks before it was announced and after..

Well whatever it was, fact is things are now getting back on track. Many good vibes are now surrounding the league and our club at the moment. Hopefully the public are buying into us once again.

Exactly, we so seem to be getting back on track now, a lot of good publicity surrounding the club now. Hopefully a good performance by the team and us fans on Saturday should get more people lining up for memberships. Hopefully!!

Not sure it was noted but there was a nice half page add for mariners game.

Love the billboard ideas. We really need to up the emphasis on the "pick your side" slogan in sydney. And with Wanderers we need to be painting Parra at the very least Red and Black. Billboards, flagpoles down church street, west fields the lot. Needs to feel like were entering our territory.

Hoping its a 10k crowd at the least. i think and hope that on day ticket buyers will be the majority of the crowd on saturday.

A good way to estimate the crowd is to go on ticketek and to look at buying tickets to the match, and see what best available seats there still offering. For instance i checked the Red Reserved and there are still seats of 4 available right in the centre bay in the middle.

However when you look up the derby game you'd be lucky to get 4 spots anywhere.

we seem to be on the right track, and having the derby on round 3 will ensure that season tickets will still be in strong demand for another 2 more weeks to get more foundation members on board

Speccy only the other week was dealing with the club re. this. It's a sensitive matter and as far as I'm aware the consensus was nothing was to be done in public and make it appear we were 'sucking up' for want of better terminology.

Yeah understandable, do you reckon we should just let sleeping dogs lie and forget about it? We could use the money to help out the banner and tifo crew. Either to reimburse them for the cash of their own that they have spent so far or for future banners and tifo's.

yeah this. no need to bring the incident up again. all you need is one journo to get a hold of it, and then the story will circulate again. rather focus on the game this saturday and try to get more tickets sold.

The money has already gone to the kid.

Yes, I agree, let's not even talk about that....****, what were we talking about?

Transport info line are advertising free transport for Wanderers vs Mariners includes the Moore park shuttle from Central Station to moore park. That's going to be one empty bus!

Oh well looks like that's been donated to the pokies or the mother's next round of plastic surgery haha. Not bad for an old bird!

I don't think they got cash. It was a jersey or something. Not sure on the detail, have to ask Spec. I know it was also bandied about to buy gear for his soccer team.

3630 + 2500 memberships (or thereabouts) + walk ins...we should hit 10k comfortably

advertising has been thrashed out this week on radio, sydney papers & local papers (why it took so long im not sure)
