Western Sydney Substitutions: Iacopo La Rocca (Aaron Mooy 22), Kwabena Appiah-Kubi (Youssouf Hersi 74), Labinot Haliti (Shinji Ono 84)
Opponent Starting Lineup: Andrew Redmayne, Patrick Gerhardt, David Vrankovic, Nick Kalmar, Jeremy Walker, Jonatan Germano, Josip Tadic, Jason Hoffman, Matt Thompson, Richard Garcia, David Williams
Note 1: Jerome Polenz's red card was for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity to David Williams when he was through on goal for a one on one chance with Ante Covic.
Note 2: Ante Covic saved the penalty after the Polenz red card in the 13th minute, and made several outstanding saves during the match, including a double save at the end of the match when it looked certain Heart would equalise.
Note 3: Nikolai Topor-Stanley made his 150th A-League appearance in this match.
Note 4: Vinnie Grella for the Melbourne Heart played his first match in the A-League after signing for Melbourne Heart prior to the match. It also became his last professional match. He tore his calf muscle shortly after coming onto the field although he completed the match. Later that week he retired from professional football due to the extent of his injury.
