So, the A-League plays the Jets at 7:45 on Saturday at Campbelltown. The Youth League plays the Jets at 2:00pm on Sunday at Cook Park, just up the road.

Why isn't the youth team playing the curtain-raiser before the A-League? Same club, same opponents, same city. Twice the action for fans.

Why is it none of the schedulers think about doing this once in a while?

Hasn't this been discussed before? Might have been on the around the bloc or 442 podcast. But the reason was, it's cost prohibitive to keep the stadium open longer. Something about requiring an extra 3 hours lease time minimum at some exorbitant fee.

EDIT:

I think it was discussing W-League instead but same point would hold true.

The pitch at Scrambletown is crap enough without playing a curtain raiser. We should all just hope it's improved a hell of a lot since the W League derby!

a few weeks ago there were hundreds of people on the field for 2 open air cinema nights. I kid you not i wore i tip toed across it out of respect for what was coming.

i cant say the same for my fellow Ctown bogans. digging camping chairs into the ground, a few kids with scooter across it and basically a mass collection or anarchy across it.

hope we have been playing loads of soccer tennis at training, i dont think the ball will roll nicely!
