I wouldn't be surprised at all if Perth beat City in Perth. Brisbane and Newcastle have that weird record where the away team seems to win a disproportionate number of games so it'd be nice if that could continue although I doubt it.

If ESFC beat Adelaide someone needs to call ASADA...

I suspect Arnold will play his second stringers... concentrate on ACL. He even has Victory playing before his lot so how that unfolds could make up his mind for him. Sub 10K SFS crowd?

Yeah ideally we'd want the Nix to beat Victory and give ESFC something to play for. A draw or a Victory victory and ESFC are guaranteed to miss the finals so they'll play the kids.

If Sydney field a weakened team would we know the difference?

Expected starting 11

GK = Either or

Neville, Alberto, NTS, Jamo

Andreu, Baccus,

Castelan, Nichols, Bridge

Santa

In recent weeks Andreu has been a shadow of his early season self whereas Dimas has looked the stronger, albeit with his usual couple of suicidal square balls every game. I'm wondering if Andreu is in end of season 2 Mooy mode i.e. his mind is already elsewhere?

What do you Taurus ? Santa to start. Why now. Should have been starting two weeks ago. I've been calling for it for weeks.

Probably sick of watching Fathead do all the donkey work

Santa is not a starting player.

A) His body can't last anymore than 20-30 mins max otherwise he just starts getting injured.

B) He needs something to chase to make him his most effective.

Does he even have the fitness ?

He'll probably be good for around 60 mins before being replaced by Dario or Gol.

How confirmed is this?

I have a feeling that he hasn't given Santa a start for 25 weeks & can't see why it's going to start in week 26. Hughesy makes some good points, would be very bad news if Santa picks up an injury trying to start him this week.

What's the deal with everyone thinking Santa won't last?

Give him a chance at least.

I hope I'm wrong.

Anyway, hope the passengers in active for our last league game are kept to a minimum. I don't think it'll be our last game at Parra though...surely the FFA won't move a home semi?

To where? ANZ? Would be not much more than half full I reckon. And surely we can't play at Allianz.

Not having finals at your home ground makes a mockery of the whole idea of wanting to finish as high as you can.

That said if we don't finish first we can't really complain, as in any other league that would be it.

Lock it in Eddie

Good.

We can't be worried about Santa picking up a hypothetical injury that rules him out of his usual 15 mins at the end of a hypothetical finals game. These two games are too important to be thinking about the future. And if there's any team he's gonna bang the goals in against it's this one.
