Looking forward to the #westvheapsfurtherwest derby

And to seeing the three amigos back again. Actually any chance we can try an RBB version of "Amigos para siempre" as per the Barcelona olympics?

Does Reddy hold his position? Probably.

Drop Hamil for Alberto? Probably.

Line Dimas up against Castro. Cracker of a contest. GolGol in for Dario around 65-70 min mark.

Hope we practiced set piece defending this week

This. I have a feeling that this game will go either way, but hopefully we won't have a repeat of our last home game.

I SHOULD be in unless I get stuffed by uni, but hopefully I can make it considering we won't be having too many home games left at Pirtek...

This is an important game. We haven't won our last three and we really risk falling back into the pack if we don't pick up three points here. Perth are due an off game.

Bit concerned about this match:

- Perth have been in a fantastic run of form, they will not be easy beats.

- Earlier in the season, guaranteed 3 points but now, we will have to be at our best to win

- I really feel that we haven't been at our best for a while now, MV draw, Wellington loss & the derby draw isn't the best run of form running into a match we will need to perform

- Need to play like we did in the first half versus Easts, can't play like the second half otherwise we will lose. Need to score early, keep possession as much as possible & not have such an open game inviting the opposition into the contest. Castro & Keogh will make us pay

Oh & thanks for opening up the match thread early Mack :good:

Surely we are due the mother of all storms?  It's just the not the same this season, playing well, mostly winning and keeping dry. ;)

Nope...some of them performances have got me very moist... should've said wet but I only used that word coz I know some people hate it...  :ninja:

50 points will be enough to win the title. 21 points up for grabs.

We must win this!

I wouldn't be surprised to see mid 40's take it

I'd say Adelaide are our biggest threat. Roar will falter.

Oh & thanks for opening up the match thread early Mack :good:

I think your threats to take over have forced him into action  :good:

I'd be keeping Hamill and dropping NTS !!

Assuming NTS keeps his place, drop Neville (he's used up all his lives) and put Hammill at right back. He's done it well in the past and by nature he wants to rampage down the right... even when he's performing CB duties. Cole can come on for him when he runs out of gas.

No Hammil at RB please. Fullbacks are a different breed to centre halves, drives me up the wall when managers try and think they can change that. Doesn't work.

Can't say I agree, he wasn't terrible but he wasn't great either. He spent his whole time drifting inside simply because of instinct which gave the winger all the room he wanted and tangled up things for the two playing centrally.

Swings and roundabouts, at least we'll have someone on the right going forward who isn't going to send the ball into touch every time he's in a decent position. Neville is alright as a defender but against quality wingers I don't think there's much in it.

I think Hamill has far better touch and so is better suited to linking up with the Spaniards, Castelen, etc.

Our best crosser of the ball is Shannon Cole

But I'd say Neville and hamill are better defenders

At least hamill coming back puts more pressure for spots

Neville needs to take his throw ins quicker as well. he always seems to wait until the defence is set, shuffles a couple of times, holds out one palm saying 'no-one is free' (because he has waited for everyone to be marked), then throws it short waiting for the pass back.

pick it up and throw it down the line dammit, there is normally someone running through who then checks his run.

I hear Pio has been told to earn his keep. Expect to see a new Wanderdogs seller in the East stand...  :ninja:

Wanderdog seller! He will be lucky, has he had a promotion?

Those blue urinal soap cakes dont replace themselves you know.

Pio or Golgol up front

Bridge to LW, Dario to RW, Castelan drops to bench

Nichols & the Spanish midfielders in.

Neville or Cole at RB,

bench of Redmayne, Cole/Neville, Santa, Castelen & Youlley
