The board aren't absent of blame. They rejected buying quality.

..and the FFA scuppering Eduardo wasn't Popa's fault either
Plus who could know how much Robbie Keane's asking price would be and Motherwell's double no for Scott McDonald.

Unfortunately, Borda was a poor recruitment choice and no replacement for Alberto nor Pinatares for Andreu.

The other obvious point is that we lost Jamo and Bridge late as well as letting Nikolai go.

For a bit of perspective Adelaide won everything last year, lost half their starting XI and are stone motherless last.

We are a little better than that plus it's our turn to get a few refereeing decisions after the shambolic decisions by Gillett in Derby 1 this season.

Unfortunately, we get Chris Beath for Derby 3

I reckon we're gonna go from 0 strikers to 2. Both Griffiths and Santa up top, press the **** out of them and win 4-0.

Oops I mean 4-6-0. 0-0 draw

Popa play with two strikers up front! Your new to WSW aren't you?

Popa rarely waivers from 0 to 1 striker, have we ever played with two main strikers up front lol?

Sarcasm is lost on this crowd

Has the FFA released the list of allowable things to throw on the pitch for this game yet? Judging from the lack of any action, outrage or suspended penalties in derby 2 you can go nuts with the chucky chucky.

Every FFA list mentioning the derby has an asterix next to it...

Really hope Popa isn't writing off the derby by resting key players for Tuesday.

Wow, a day out from the Derby and we have less than 3 pages in this thread. You can feel the enthusiasm just draining away as this season lurches along...

Fire up people!

Well I guess there's not much to say anymore. It's the third time we've played them this season and nothing's changed. We all know our issues and how they've been going.

I guess I'm just waiting till Saturday and then I'll sing myself hoarse. Hope everyone's feeling similar.

Hope the players feel the same - nothing to say, our actions have to do the talking.

Fire up people!

Everybody's getting sick of it I feel.

The RBBs pre derby sledge post was so half hearted today. Something about their crowd attendance. It's getting downright depressing.

So far 1 win against Victory and Sydney combined over three seasons is just sad.

With the weather forecast, it may be acceptable to light some flares.

Its getting better now, the storms are predicted to be earlier than originally thought, starting now.

Lmao Arnie referring to Popa as his "little" brother in a sentimental message to the media about their relationship. Sounds innocent.

But we all know ...

This is the least excited I have been about a Sydney Derby for a while. Three in one season is overkill.

Arnie just enjoys any position of dominance. He enjoys having Popa in his pocket.

Arnie's just a massive tool who carries on when he's on top and points fingers when he's under the pump.

His mind games don't work on Popa. Popa just prepares his team as normal. Because Arnie's had a winning run he thinks his mind games work. Like Parra being called a shed is going to affect Popa. Far out, we've dominated some of those games in the streak, including two last year.

Let Arnie talk. Every time he opens his mouth he proves how much of a twat he is.

Right, long time lurker, first time poster, foundation member.

I firmly believe you cannot honourably enjoy the good times without enduring the bad times, and so my husband and I attend all home games, and even though I agree Spotless is soulless, it would be a lot better if we all turned up....

However, due to the illness of my aged mother ( I am 62...) we will not be at tomorrow's game until half time or so BUT we will be there!

Good times, bad times, suck it up and move on, it's a test of character people!!

Better times are coming...

By the way, I love Popa, he doesn't owe us a thing, we owe him!

We are a team of pride and honor, we take the good with the bad, we hold our heads high, we will always be a team to be proud of!!

Welcome....and great first post!

I remember my first post...it was crap and bought nothing to the table...or was that my last one?

A bit optimistic I feel. Look at the Popa vs Arnie record - there is a very clear winner. Most of the examples you use I agree don't impact in Popa - thet are for the media. There is little doubt though tactically and mentally Popa is Arnie's little bitch.

I believe the correct term is.... internal differences. So for now they shall not be gracing us with their bouncy presence.
