Yeah but goalkeepers who are confidence players...

I think it's more to do with the players around him. He might have been different with a confident Robbie C in his ear the whole time. It's mainly his judgement on when to come off his line that is the problem. So with a solid group around him he might be better.

Wilkinson, Arnold etc will build him up and keep him positive. But I still think he'll make a clanger at some point and the wheels will fall off.

Where was Wilkinson?

The fact that if that was any other side, Redmayne would have shipped 6 goals

So from reading Bossi on the way to work Redmayne is now the greatest goal keeper since Gordon Banks......:rolleyes:

Every dog has its day....I stand by the view that he is shytehouse...

Just heard Jack Clisby on the Box 2 Box podcast on this game and other things Wanderers.

 Worth a listen.

Cove weren't there. They released a statement stating as such.

Lulz at Redmayne. Get their confidence up and he'll show his true colours soon enough.

Arsenal are popular overseas apparently. Arsenal fan pom at work keeps telling me that.

I think there'll be more WSW fans tomorrow night than there were SFC fans last night. I don't know what that means though. That WSW fans will pay whatever money to watch their team play, or that SFC fans are smarter and realise this is a promoters money making scheme.

I think there is also a bit of a novelty factor because we haven't played in these exhibition games yet. Smurfs have done so for a number of years, but we've always had other priorities (or weren't asked), so it's a first time thing for some WSW fans.

given the lack of atmosphere last night at the SFC game, the RBB implore any fans sitting in the Wanderers active section to be loud and proud this Saturday night.

It is an opportunity to display our club on a global level along with our great active support.

RBB will be in full voice - as i mentioned, we are not going anywhere

That's great news

lets show the eurosnobs what a proper football crowd is

im looking forward to the game again!

I have seats on the half way line..  I'm gonna move to the active section..  It's important for us to be as loud as we can.

i am 99% sure i know this it has been mentioned in the merch thread but i thought i would ask here just incase with the faint hope that we are not run by a bunch of spineless morons(yes i know that hope has been killed the past few days) but we are not wearing our away jersey at a home match right? because that would be completely and utterly stupid and cowardly so i expect us to be wearing an away jersey

Capt cornflakes having a dig at Arnie's ants

New Western Sydney skipper Robbie Cornthwaite has wasted no time getting under Sydney FC's skin, declaring the Wanderers will put on a far superior show against Arsenal to what the A-League champions managed.

The towering centre-back was named captain at a club luncheon on Friday, and couldn't resist a verbal dig at the Sky Blues after their 2-0 loss to the Gunners on Thursday night.

"We're going to try and take it to them a little bit and give them a test which they probably didn't get last night," Cornthwaite said on Friday, ahead of the Wanderers' meeting with Arsenal at ANZ Stadium on Saturday.

Vedran still wearing #20.

Tyson still in the squad (albeit injured). Would raise a few eyebrows if they took his number off him before he's finished his contract.

Interesting that Tokich gets Shinji's #21

is that the first time a youth player has gotten a number not in the 30s or higher??

He's not on a youth development contract like Youlley, Bandiera etc were.

Aspro is #22, Scott is #23, Baccus Jnr TBA.

Suman #40 & Majok #49 have been given developmental / scholarship squad numbers & Maia plays in #50 his ACL squad number, every week at NPL2 level

I assumed he'd get 1 as he's clearly our starting keeper. Just checked the history of our goalkeeper numbers and turns out we've never done it that way.

Covic got 1 and Tyson got 20 in season one. From then on whenever someone left the new guy took that number. Regardless of who was starting and who was reserve they've always kept their number over the off season.

Yay train track work for tomorrow night

Least of your worries. The Snoreball is on at Soulless, and Disney on Ice at the Arena. There'll be wall-to-wall people.

Early meal at Lidcombe.

I think that's just for the North shore line.

Sucks if you're coming from there, but even Sydney Trains wouldn't be so silly to put trackwork on the Western line when 100,000+ people are expected at Olympic Park.
