It was an emphatic win for the men in Red & Black

Friday, 18 August 2017 - @wswanderersfc

The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers have put on a clinical display to topple Brisbane Roar 4-0 in a friendly match at CBUS Super Stadium on the Gold Coast on Friday afternoon.

It was the youngsters who got the job done on the day, as goals from Lachlan Scott and Abraham Majok either side of a Jaushia Sotirio brace ensured the Wanderers ended their weeklong training camp on a high.

Lachlan Scott opened the scoring for the Red & Black after 33 minutes, heading home a cross from Steve Lustica.

Just three minutes after the break, Jaushia Sotirio doubled the Wanderers’ lead via a deflected strike, before grabbing his second of the match seven minutes later after being put through on goal by Scott.

Sotirio then capped off a bright showing by providing a cross for Abraham Majok to net the fourth and final goal of the game.

Tony Popovic’s side will now return home to prepare for their Westfield FFA Cup Round of 16 clash against Bentleigh Greens on Tuesday 29 August in Melbourne.

Is Vedran injured? Hasn't featured last 2 games?

He was named on the bench, perhaps Popa thought he wasn't required when they were up by a few and wanted to check out Suman instead?

Perhaps but Hall also played a full 90 in the previous match too. Just seemed odd to me

Wait until the next FFA cup match, if Vedran doesn't start, then something might be up. Way I see it, Popa and Kalac already know what Vedran will bring, Hall and Suman have more to prove.

Vedran was the FFA cup keeper with a clean sheet. Should start against Bentleigh Greens

Only played the last 30 mins along with most of the first teamers. Hard to know without seeing the game, the ATB Twitter posts re: Cejudo are:
