I have been saying since last season that it is in these three years at SOP, more than any other seasons, the owners would need to give the coach an open cheque book for player recruitment. It should have been known that the club would have taken a hit in crowd numbers and the only thing that would maintain numbers would be a winning team. If mediocre results continue, I can honestly see Mariner-like crowd figures this year and next.

This, last season has set us back big time

at least club has response by signing two marquees, however the crap draw and spotless fiasco has meant two home games in first 9 rounds added to change of coach and tepid performance

we really need to start wining soon otherwise it will be well grim

Brendan Hamill, starting centre back and captain !!!   Who would of thought.

I'm at the point where I will accept that. That's how low my expectations are. But seriously, Hamill has improved. Aspro is the one who has lost his confidence. So fair enough.

Aspro hardly plays.  The pressure on a young defender who is expected to step up and play well in just one game here and there is immense.

He needs an extended run but can't see it happening unless there are injuries aplenty.

This IS a must win game. Time for the team to put up or shut up. Lose or draw and we are in danger of being left behind. Draws are killing us just like they did last season so c'mon guys....shoot for fu*k sake.

Expecting a big performance tonight against arguably the worst team in the comp which is also concerning because we love playing **** teams into form.

3-1 win.

Another loss or draw and it’s another season of playing catch-up.

Nees momentum for next week.

Weather update: 100% chance of rain with thunderstorms now.. From 6pm.

Correct me if I'm wrong..

If there are thunderstorms/lightning before kick off, they have to wait 30min until you can kick off..

It'll be a similar feel when we played Melbourne city season 3 when there was a delay..

Can anyone recommend a bar on cockle bay wharf that will be showing the game? Have my Christmas party, so want to watch as much of the first half as I can!

this game is a symbol of where we are at with football in this country......

In a week where the ffa board is about to get the boot by FIFA we are shifted grounds to just about the worst possible ground to watch football at because venue management that doesn't give a **** about football screwed us over for the millionth time. Its pissing down rain and the club who is just about the only positive story for the league in the past 5 years is looking down the barrel of a 5K crowd.

Prediction for the game - 0-0 with the VAR incorrectly ruling out a goal for each side - seems about right given where we are at right now.

This is beyond depressing feels like the last days of northern spirit. Surely somebody in club may look around band realise that playing at anz is a massive cock up. This game should be at Campbelltown, Penrith or even Blacktown stuff it do it as a “back to nsl day” and play it at Marconi it couldn’t be worse than this

A lot of Christmas parties tonight. I have one I'm about to go to.

But don't worry. There is always state leagues if the A-league goes the way of the NSL. That's a game every week we can go and watch ;)
