This game will show whether or not we've actually improved. Jets are a much better outfit than either CCM or Nux and have had an extra weeks rest, whereas we've got a 5 day turnaround. Containing the Jets attack will be a big test.

Feeling confident well not season 1 or 2 confident but as confident as a wsw supporter can be since then

We need to win so we don’t have massive batches of empty seats for the derby which is a challenge given the ridiculous pricing

Personally, I hope that the derby crowd is a complete dud so that Fox and the FFA don't schedule a marquee fixture for a Sunday night ever again.

Mind you, I won't attend another Allianz derby until they reduce the ridiculous prices for tickets.

In x2. Looking forward to a kebab, and being a little closer to the action.

had to laugh when I got the email from ANZ Stadium offering 50% off tickets to Thugby League double-header on Saturday.

4 teams, 4 sets supporters (plus neutrals) and still need to 50% discount, they must be desperate, must be very low sales.

However I digress, this is the game that can turn our season on it's head, no matter what has gone on before (on or off the pitch).

A win is going cause tsunami of optimism and belief we can just might put some memorable moments back into this season yet !, I am not thinking about draw/loss, don't go there.

Biscuit to thump in a 3 header hat trick.............Come OOOOOOOOONNNNNN!

It’s huge isn’t it, win and top 4 is realistic we can put all the process talk aside, and get on with trying to win the comp.

Baccus Senior not in thec18 man squad.

Cejudo in. Spared from ANZ.

Could we see a frontline of Cejudo, Riera and Ikonomidis at some stage tomorrow.

Cejudo to start and subbed by Sotirio or Sotirio to start and subbed by Cejudo?

Which one to slow down/break down first?,  this is where JG earns his corn.

I imagine Roly will start instead of Keanu.  With Keanu replacing Herd at some stage and/or Lustica replacing Roly.  Leaving just one other sub - Cejudo for Bridge.  But can Carrusca see out the full 90?

How could i have forgotten Roly. Roly as Right AM with Baccus Jnr or Lustica on the bench.

Or could Herd be played at RB to save Risdon for the Derby (he's on 7 yellows, so one more and he's suspended)?

Kanterovski and Vuijca both out for the Jets.

Georgievski returns from suspension.

So will see NTS and Georgievski marking Ikonomidis and Risdon. Reckon both Jets players will get yellow cards from Peter Green (Ref for Mariners game).

Can’t see any value resting Risdon for the derby, three points against the Jets is worth the same as three points against sydney.

If you rest him he definitely misses a game, and will still be on 7 yellows the so If then gets a yellow he will miss another game effectively he will miss 2 games for 8 yellows.

Might as well play him, at worst he gets a yellow and misses a game.

Our winning percentage with peter green is crap if my memory is correct, so I'm tipping a draw or a peter green var special losing decision.

Anyone have the actually winning percentage for peter green

First derby I will ever miss, but 100% with you on this.

-  F**# Fox (greedy scheduling and not making a FTA game)

-  F**$ the FFA (spineless p*icks for letting Fox do whatever they want + inapt in every department)

-  F**% esfc (smooth out your average attendance)

-  F**& Allianz (not getting my money in food, parking, etc)

Massive respect to the RBB (who will be there), but I welcome everyone else to boycott this **** - only then will they start taking note.

I decided after last season that I wouldn't attend any more Allianz derbies until they stopped the absurd price gouging. I used to buy 4-6 tickets per derby. **** them.

In this case, the Sunday night is because the poor Smurfs play on Wednesday night and the FFA/Fox want to give their lapdogs a chance of another win by giving them an extra nights rest.

That's bullshit. The draw was released before ACL groups were even determined (and the 2017 ACL comp was still running). It is purely Fox wanting "exclusivity" of the derby away from free to air.

"The Derby" has been hyped up to the point where it has lost what it once had. But the word "Derby" in general has been exploited and overused to somehow convince people that something is a must see event with a fierce rivalry. I think the best way to renew this rivalry is for us to start climbing up the ladder and challenging them.
