I believe we have the concession for our first 2 seasons, so yeh 6 foriegners.

Although i like La Rocca. Perfect squad member, and if he can improve we will be all the better for it. But very odd decision sign him up for the next 2 years. 1 max for me. May come back to bite us after next season when were down to 5 foriegners.

So that's the first of the players signed up for the 3rd season where we drop back to 5 foreign spots. Odd move. Not the one I'd make. Perhaps Popa knows he can't keep Poljak from moving on to higher leagues or back to Europe for the 3rd season, so he's locking La Rocca in to ensure he keeps a player who has done well for the club.

Popa had some kind words for La Rocca so it seems he really likes him

>>>>>

Popovic said La Rocca brought a lot to the squad with his ball distribution, defence and versatility.

“Iacopo is very good on the ball and his distribution is a real asset of his and we feel that he can help us move forward in the near term and the long term,†Popovic said.

“He is a quality player and a quality person and we feel that he will only get better and better.â€

He is the first player to secure a two-year extension.

“Iacopo is a very good age for a central midfield defensive player and he should be coming into his own physically and mentally and we feel it is the right decision to give him two more years with us,†Popovic said.

“He is very comfortable on the ball and he reads the game very well.

"Once he gets his fitness up I think we will see the qualities he possesses on a more regular basis and we feel that there is a lot of improvement left in him.â€

only Popa knows exactly why he wanted to re-sign him for 2 years, but yeah it does seem a bit odd that this far out from the 3rd season that he will be the first of the 5 visa spots.

however Popa does like tall central defenders and in 2 years Beauchamp will be 33 and Topor could move on to a higher league, who knows.

Very smart move. He is a utility player that can plug gaps in both defence and midfield, good teams always have plays like this to do a job when needed. Underrated player anyway, tidy on the ball and intelligent.

IMO He is miles better than Cole. Not sure if your comparing talent or squad versatility. I think you mean the latter.

Im a bif fan of La Rocca. Is a bit loose in tight marking when playing 3 or 4 but exactly the right aage and will get better.

Also i recckon that overseas visa players are pretty safe bet as if they are not playing they tend to leave.

And his interview when he signed another season, the question about ADP, 'do you support Juve, he said "NO! I support Lazio, but support ADP when he plays for national side. "

That's a mart answer. Because ADP won't play for Italy national team anymore.
