His loan contract expired and the Wanderers were unable to complete a full time signing. He eventually returned to the Wanderers in 2021, signing a 3 year contract after leaving the Korean league. He has three caps for Australia and was a mainstay in Australian national junior teams. After 21 games, half off the bench in 2021/22, he failed to play any games in the 2022/23 season and then left the club.

Amazing debut, looked sharp. Very excited to see an Antonis - Mitch - Santa - Nico front 4. I can only assume the result is the only reason everyone is not fapping themselves stupid over this boy's start.

He was good, appeared keen & lively. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him in the red & black hoops.

Very noticeable that he chased back in an attempt to prevent Holman getting the shot away that sunk us. After we conceded, he turned & glared at our 'captain courageous' who as usual, displayed zero effort to track back.

Instagram post on WSW FB page appears to indicate that Antonis is headed OS to continue his career

Big loss if true. Was one of our better performers when he arrived.

Another career going nowhere fast. It is a tragedy that a player like him sits on the bench somewhere in Europe. Had he stayed put he'd be knocking at the Socceroos door. Instead...

Such a waste be basically rescued or season last year, maybe he can do same again

Just in case you might think "well he's on the bench so that means he's pretty close to starting".. the Eredivisie has up to 12 players on the bench. The teams often have two sub keepers on the bench and multiple players in each position. They aren't using him as an attacking midfielder so it looks like he's stuck as at least their 4th choice defensive midfielder (behind Leemans, Post & van Bruggen) and they might not even want to use him as an attacking midfielder (where he might be even further down the pecking order).

Would I be correct in assuming he is earning a much bigger salary in Europe than he did with us. ?
