Have to say that NSW and Vic NPL is a step above all other comps in the country. If anyone can give us a run for there money it will be them (and not the berries  )

They are coming to the end of the season, they might even be finished if we get a 29/30th matchday and they lose in what I presume would be Week 1 of the NPL Vic final series.

We will be even more match fit and with all our signings ready to go.

Winning is mandatory.

Entire squad filled (almost), full squad to choose (no injuries), more fitness under the belts and a playing against a semi pro side you'd be quietly confident that the job can be done.

If they are eliminated from the finals would probably work against us. The FFA cup would be all they have to play for and put forward strongest team but if they had a final that weekend, would be different. We would expect the win none the less.

What is the fixtures/dates for VicNPL final series? Would be intetested to see how it fits into the match days.

Can't find the the finals but Round 26 of FFV-NPL is to be played on the 20th August. Need that Victory guy to fill us in!

Read some comments from Roar supporters. They are seething with Aloisi treating the game with contempt. 

They started with 3 at the back but reverted to the standard back 4. They probably needed 10 defenders

Roar have never progressed past the Rd of 32.

MV would be approaching the comp to win it back to back. How can you approach the game like a training session? I switched off at 1 or 2-nil because Nick Meredith is terrible.

Then I saw it was 5-1 at the end. Terrible for a team saying they want to challenge for the PP and Toilet Seat this year.

Actually they progressed in 2014 only to lose to Adelaide (eventual winners) in the round of 16.

Aloisi now blaming the pitch as he did not want to risk his players.

Not sure if that is a good enough excuse, both teams had to play on it and should both be at a similar stage of preseason.

I hazard a guess that there is an agreement between Fox & the FFA is that the Round of 32 tries to showcase multiple NPL clubs while the Rd of 16 onwards is about ratings. Fox could easily have put the Adelaide vs Victory game on TV instead of the Sydney United vs Heidelberg or Morton Bay vs Gold Coast or SMFC vs Sorrento games in the first match day.

Against Roar, Valeri didn't play with Broxham in midfield. ***** played left back and Geria played right back.
