As mentioned, it was because he was suspended. But Goal won't tell readers that. Link to comment

Did I dream it but I think Clisby played centre back for Melbourne City against us and based on that you are quite right he can’t play centre back. besides if risdon is still out then Clisby is playing left back With Hammil out and aspro away not a lot of choice I’m guessing he’ll play Herd there. Wasnt Roly a centre back in Holland? Come on gombau do it total football Link to comment

Prydzopolis
Cornflakes departs to pursue opportunity overseas. StringerBellend
Anyhow play aspro and Thwaite until the end of season with Hammil as back up Add the salary cap allocation onto what ever is left in the kitty (post Jumpy) to get best winger that we can afford we don’t have any acl, short sprint to the finals we should point all money at a decent starting XI (Arnold stylee) This football managing thing is easy isn’t it lloydy136, Unlimited and DinoPresinger 3 Link to comment

tardotz
These are dark times. If the captain left in Jan 3 or 4 years ago this forum would have been in meltdown. This time around it's more of oh well another one leaves. Edinburgh, Smoggy and EmMac 3 Link to comment

Add the SOP experience and it gets downright depressing. tardotz and EmMac 2 Link to comment

It'd be a different story if players left the coach who signed them in the middle of a season where we could win. We're gonna have more turnover before things settle down. Despite what they say, this season is a write-off. We might as well promote that kid that got game time on Wednesday and give him some experience before next year. 57 minutes ago, StringerBellend said: Wasnt Roly a centre back in Holland? He's decent enough as a non visa winger or versatile attacker, that's it. DinoPresinger 1 Link to comment

Paul01
Aussie CBs with contracts expiring Wilkinson (33) North (36) Ryan McGowan (28) Matt Smith (35) Mullen (28) Curtis Good (24) McGing (23) Tongyik (21) Elsey (23) Link to comment
papersun
Ruon Tongyik hasn't played one minute of first team football this season with City. I've liked the look of him when he has played for them previously, Gombau would also know him from his involvement with the Olyroos, could be a possible signing.. DinoPresinger 1 Link to comment
mack
From that list the only players I'd consider if I were Gombau are McGowan, Tongyik & Elsey. Curtis Good I don't know, he hasn't played a competitive league fixture since 28/2/2014 which is basically four years ago way back in season 2013/14. How do you even start to consider his ability now? I would probably call his agent at least. He couldn't hurt if we can pick him up for minimum wages, his contract expires at the end of this season I highly doubt Newcastle even care about him. Link to comment

lloydy136
As much as i would love to see aspro succeed he has been a walking bomb scare this season and if he is going to be the starting cb for the rest of the season then the club and the coach have written it off despite what they have stated publicly.
