They don't have stand out games, they do enough at times but the average game for both players is give the ball away, give a decent pass, make a nice run, get caught in possession. He is a good link in the midfield for a lot of the other players in the team and rarely loses the ball when in possession. Think he will be replacing Mooy next season and getting more game time. Davo Posted April 24, 2014 Share Posted April 24, 2014 I agree that last season Trifiro had a few shockers (eg the two yellow cards after coming off the bench against the Mariners) but I've really rated him this season. I made a point of watching him a bit more closely at the Guizhou game to see if I could see what some of the anti-Trifiro camp are seeing but he was great. He made some good tackles tracking back and dropped deep to be the link between defense and midfield, sometimes splitting the centre backs to start from the back. As has been mentioned, he needs to do this consistently but for what he is (a squaddie midfielder who's probably on low wages) he's doing better than most in a similar position in the league.
