Looks to be very impressive with good stats and creates or scores in every 3rd game. This guy was also the glue that sent hiroshima to ACL and top of there league and one of there best players for last two seasons so we may have picked up our greatest signing after Shinji.

With that average he'd be our top scorer this season.... :ninja:

HE might have taken the advice of a club hero before joining the Wanderers, but new recruit Yojiro Takahagi hopes the Western Sydney fans are not expecting Shinji Ono Mk II.

Japan midfielder Yojiro Takahagi emphasises he's no duplicate of Shinji Ono but he did get a rundown on his new club Western Sydney Wanderers from the superstar.

We have promoted Japanese international Yojiro Takahagi into the Hyundai A-League squad for the rest of the 2014/15 season.
Known to fans in Japan as Yojiro, the attacking midfielder has over 250 appearances for J-League side Sanfrecce Hiroshima and was a key player when they won back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013.

Capped internationally with the Samurai Blue, the 28 year old will wear the number 10 jersey for the Red & Black.

CEO John Tsatsimas said Yojiro is the type of player fans will enjoy watching.

“We are very pleased we have been able to include Yojiro into the squad for the rest of the Hyundai A-League season,†said Tsatsimas.

“Yojiro is a very experienced and talented attacking player who plays an exciting brand of football fans will love.

“With caps for Japan, plenty of ACL experience and at 28 years old we have a player that is hungry for more success, something as a Club we are all striving for.â€

Starting his youth career at Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Yojiro joined the senior ranks and, aside from a one season loan to then J-2 side Enhime FC in 2006, was a consistent first team player who made over 25

Called it as soon as we signed him lol

Just got a bit confused with this bit in the press release:

"

Known to fans in Japan as Yojiro,"

Uhh... well, duhh because that's his name or is there a double meaning I'm missing?

He wears Yojiro on his shirt instead of Takahagi.
