I'm saving my money and points for the grand final, that's optimism!

Yeah.... I am going to have to take a punt on a derby and GF in Melbourne and sit this one out... especially as the cops have hit me with a ******* fine that would have paid for a flight to Brisbane ffs...

I can't do Sydney dery semi, I'm gonna need to be sedated.

    Yeah me too

Haha as soon as I saw the post above I was gonna post this song. Love it. I distinctly remember being on a road trip to Byron one year and getting out at a servo with this blasting. Great riff.

We should do a song based on this!

I expect to hear it blasting as soon as I get in the car on Friday morn.

I'm in Brisbane until Saturday but unfortunately I can't go to  the game.   :(

    This does not compute?!?!

I have engagements that were pre-arranged and can't be altered.

Dimas will be on the pine.

Borda I hope I NEVER see in a WSW jersey again.....WSW worst starting 11 ever candidate every time...

Vedran "I'm excited, nothing else. I'm blessed to be in a position like this now after the year I had. I'll take it one step at a time as well and enjoy the week. It's a good place to be. I think everyone has written us off already but we'll rewrite the history books."

Clisby "At Spotless Stadium, we thoroughly dominated the game but we were struggling to score goals in that period of the season. The two performances away were actually good performances. We were unfortunate to lose one of those games in the end. Heading into this Friday, we're ready to take on Brisbane."

Popa "We have to focus on our game, respect every one of their players and their football club, which we do. But we have a game plan and the players to execute it to win the match. We're ready, we're calm, we're composed. We don't feel anxious at all going into this. We know we're playing well. Critical moments change matches. We know we'll get our opportunities and it's up to us to take them."

I've been thinking for a few weeks now that there are only 2 teams with the ability/potential to beat ESFC in the finals series - WSW and the Roar.  If we win look out Easts!  If Roar win will they be good enough to get past the Victory to have a crack at Easts?

Victory have been woeful against ESFC this season, wouldn't put much chance in them getting the job done against ESFC.

We can on rely only ourselves to sort them out.

We got Jarred Gillett as Central Referee with Strebre Delovski as VAR.

Record this season 2 losses , 1 draw and 1 win and Popa fined!

As the club bus didn't happen anyone got plans for watching the game tomorrow night at a pub or club in the Riff or Parra? Suspect it might be too late and/or too hard what with the thugby league & aerial ping pong on...

Would rather have Strebre on the pitch.

Their efforts to try and give succour to the RBB were as useful as tits on a bull. 100% full on bogan league pub. Avoid.

On the other hand the Bavarian in the Riff is open. Not sure if they would put the game on their tele...

Club twitter shows 4 players at the airport

Sotirio, Aspro, Santa and Baccus Snr ( must have missed the angry resident!)

His form coincided with the run-in with the local parking Kommissariat right?

So hopefully he parked the Holden Berlina across that guy's driveway again just to make sure!

They don't show live sports there. They show the music video for whatever song is on and repeats of ESPN's top plays.

Anyone going to the match know if there is an arranged pre game venue?

    I read/heard somewhere that it's the Paddo.

    • And if we’re losing 1-0 at 60 minutes, does he get game time?
    • We expect our coaches to have integrity and be honest. Criticising a coach for what he said is not criticising the fact he’s being “honest”. Someone talking doesn’t automatically mean it’s true, it doesn’t mean it’s definitely right. Talking without tact is often pointless, and this is where Marko sometimes lands.  Older generations love throwing the baby out with the bath water, then claim the younger more progressive generations are soft. This has happened every generation prior. Brosque has his view, and it sounds like he had been singled out when younger, but as an avid football consumer for the past 25+ years I don’t recall it being a frequent occurrence in the media. A lot changed after Beckham was pilloried post to post by media for the red card against Simeone and Argentina. **** started changing after that, coaches weren’t airing grievances in the media anywhere near as often. Over the past 10 years, where social media abuse has ramped up, where players now have an online presence and a semi-direct link to any “fan”(/possible asshole), there has been an ever decreasing amount of openly negative comments directed at named players by their coach/manager. That is what decent managers do, Marko proves he doesn’t fall into that category for multiple reasons.
