I'm expecting a send off for a DOGSO

The referee stated openly at a recent grassroots referees meeting that in his last 6 games he has applied the DOGSO ruling 4 times. If i remember rightly then one was Tyson.

So the back 4 better work their buts off so that Viper isn't put in a compromising defensive position.

Like a win with 4 goals say 4-0

we need to play them like we played last week and up at gosford. play direct - let them stuff around with the ball passing it across the back 4 but when we get it - need to find antonis/nico between the lines. press when we first lose it and then drop in and be compact. although I doubt they will be as open as the nix were last week.

2-0 - cornflakes and aspro to have o'donovan and co in their pockets. clisby gets a yellow, misses derby. 200 games man with a brace.

by the way the updated rules on this are going to confuse the hell out of park footballers this season.

Plus all the coaches thinking the rules haven't changed in 20 years.

Then there will be mayhem from the parents on the sideline as well.

If the FFA were doing their job, then it would not be just the Referees getting the education on the revision of the rules, it would be all coaches and players regardless of division for full field games.

It wouldn't be hard for them to send out an email to all registered players, coaches and managers at the start of every season outlining any rule changes.

That would be great once all the grassroots teams are settled. My youngsters club will settle in late February with coaches and managers nominated.

Not sure how it works for SAP and above

In the history of WSW, has there ever been a game that has generated less discussion on WSF than this one??

    :(:(

I think the heat has sapped all energy out of all people here.... Hopefully the players are cool and well rested.

Weather is fine at SOP. Nice breeze, temperature dropping. Set to be 24 at kick off. Don't let that be a deterrant, the weather is a non issue.

For those that missed the club's email -

    "Weather

With hot temperatures are expected across Western Sydney this weekend, we will have water stations set up inside the Stadium. Members and fans will be able to bring empty drink bottles into the venue to fill up at these water stations.

Sunscreen will also be available at the Membership Services marquee inside Gate D."

I think it's a little sad that almost every week we come up with some kind of excuse for poor attendance due to a) the weather or b) the kick-off time

The reality is the club just doesn't have the same kind of buzz that we did in the early days. Which is totally expected. Nothing surprising there. Add to that the general apathy about the a league this season and we end up with poor attendance.

It's not a suprise. We don't need to make excuses. Let's just enjoy the game

Pardon my ignorance but where do you guys hang out before the game?

Good question. It's been a while since we played at 'home', and I haven't heard anything for today.

I'm not drinking today myself, but if you're in Parra you could try the Collector.

Otherwise, just drop into one of the pubs in Lidcombe.
