In x 3. Hopefully a win to keep the next leg alive - my son and his mate are off to Tokyo this weekend and will be there for the Urawa game.

If Popa plays the best squad and forgets about the weekend ...

Same here....I hope the Urawa game is not a dead rubber for us.

    Haha, you're cracking jokes again.

1st name on the team list will be Dumas

Kinda need SIPG to beat Urawa again to help keep any hopes alive.

But that 0-4 loss in matchday 1 to Urawa is going to be our undoing imo in regards to head to head, aggregate etc

No point not playing the best 11, it's not like we need an outcome on Saturday....But yes I can see Dimas starting again.

hopefully Seoul are bringing a reserve squad seeing as they wont be progressing out of the group

Yeah I get that. But the issue is balancing both. A win tomorrow and we still need to get ahead of Urawa from the other games. We're not going to be able to play the first team for all the games so the subs need a run. A bits and pieces team has to be able to beat Seoul at home.

Pretty sure results are based on head to head so it's pretty hard as we have to overcome a 0-4 deficit even if we win tomorrow night.

The Adelaide game is pretty meaningless, especially as we won't know what result we need to get our preferred final (stupid FFA and not kicking off all the last round games simultaneously). Play full strength against Seoul and see what happens in Adelaide. They'll be coming off an ACL game too and our game is even more meaningless to them than it is to us, plus they have a tendency to suck this season.

The tougher decision will be the Urawa game as it'll be right near a finals game and that's the game we really need a result in (unless they beat Shanghai, then we're boned either way).

Adelaide should be in Korea now and have to get back for Saturday. Our guys have the 1 hour flight to Adelaide but have to avoid the Mascot obstacle course (parking in the street)

    What time people rocking up?

As early as I can manage - maybe 6:30?

We win tonight and Urawa lose to Shanghai and we're both on equal points.

We play Urawa in Japan next and we need to win. Simple as that. That'll put us 3 points ahead.

Then we just need a draw vs an understrength already qualified SIPG at c-town.

We can't end the group stage equal on points with Urawa because their aggregate will be better than ours, unless we beat them 5-0 in Japan haha
