Pray for rain to continue. My team's meant to be playing our first FFA cup game on Sunday night and I'd rather be at Spotless haha

#YesToSpotless, never thought I'd read that

My club plays (not me though) at 4:00. A 7:00 KO at spotless is probably doable. Who'd have thought 7:00 on a Sunday could be a good thing?

id rather start Pinatares than Dimas.... hopefully our first win at Souless

We actually looked like a team playing with some urgency and purpose without Dimas strolling around the pitch.....

Same in the derby we won...

We roll a team from Korea, NZ should be a piece of cake.

given the players had a week off no reason why they can't back up for this one

Santa, Corn, Nev and Nico come back in and play the same otherwise

Dimas can stay on the bench Antonis, baccus and Nichols should be our first choice midfield now

I imagine we'll use a "B" squad for this game because Popa will save the best players for the Friday game against City

    Dimas will start imo

We should use our best squad when we play teams like CCM, Newcastle Wellington and Adelaide. That's where have the best chance of picking up maximum points. Put the B squad in the games we most likely won't win.

Yeah we are kicking off at 5 so I could probably still make it. This time it's worked perfectly the 7pm KO

    I see. I like jokes.

Amazing to think that he once played in La Liga against Messi! And Numancia won that game at the Camp Nou! And now he looks pedestrian against the Central Coast Mariners.

Rhyan Grant was picked for the Socceroos. Strange things happen.

Dimas was great with Andreu next to him, probably not good enough to change a game on his own.

I looked it up and it appears I was mistaken...Numancia beat them in the first game of that season (with Dimas on the bench), but Barca beat them 4-1 in the game above. Was Pep's first season, when they ended up winning everything.

The thing with Dimas is there's nothing really bad about him . Just not energetic enough to make a game saving tackle not fast enough to break out of defence not accurate enough to make a game changing pass or any chance of scoring from long range . The fact he is taking our set pieces is Popas strangest decision of all time .

A solid player for what we are spending but we should be aiming higher in such a crucial position .

No point playing a B-Squad on Sunday. Nix are only 2 points behind us. We need a win. Simple as that.

Then we have Jets in 2 weeks. We need a win there too, to secure 6th place.

Forget trying to get a win v City. We need to consolidate 6th place this weekend against those right behind us.

Didn't Dimas had to go back to Spain for a family emergency? Is he back already?

Commentators said he went back 'home' for a family emergency. I wasn't quite sure whether 'home' was Sydney or Spain. They also mentioned that Cornthwaite had a minor operation too so I'm unsure of his availability

    Dimas' wife just gave birth.

    In Australia?

Send Dimas back to Spain, then in 20 years his kid can run the Socceroos midfield after going through La Masia.

No, she went back to Spain. Hence the 'emergency'. He is en route from Spain now so may not make the starting 11.

    • The guy is a professional footballer, even playing on a different side to his preferred, the concept of defending doesn’t change. He hardly looked like he was giving it a go. I think all too often we can be so lenient on mistakes made by players across the league. Let’s not forget that they are professionals, they get paid (a bloody decent amount) and should have the skillset required to atleast be able to do a job in a different to preferred position. It’s not like all age, where one week they are banging then in as a striker and then next they’ve got the gloves on as the regular keeper is away with the missus.
    • More like Neverlosin' the way they're going.
