Topor Stanley has been rock solid and his understanding with Beauchamp is why we have one of the best defencive records in the league.

To the tune of Abba's Super trooper

Topor-Stanley, Super Topor-Stanley

He is 10 feet tall

Hard as a brick wall

He will always win the ball.

Ha, ha - love it Jaggy.

He's also a very pleasant young man to talk to.  I met his aunt at the pre-season game at Seven Hills (Lilys Stadium) and she was so proud of him.  I agree about how our defenders are all working so well together too.

named captain for the game against mariners, with beauchamp out. Good on him! Didn't even realise he was the vice captain tbh

He was named el capitano against the Jets I believe, in the absence of Beauchamp (who was out with illness).

I think Popa likes the idea of a CB pillar of strength, boss at the back, kind of captain.

We need to be carefull with Topor Stanley!.

He is a football mercinary and has played at many many clubs and leave s for a better deal.

His management team are tough as show by the fact he was one of only a few to get a two year deal.

Tread carefully.

An absolute colossus at the back. Just wins every header, it's insane. He has really stepped up this season, one of the form CBs in the league at the moment.

why do other teams even bother playing long balls in the air against WSW...Every week its the Nikolai Topor-Stanley show, and they never seem to learn that it is pointless.

I think its because we press them so much that they have to go the long ball route - which is exactly what popa wants and NTS just simply wins the ball.

He reminds me of an Australian/Mauritian/Polish version of my favourite CB Giorgio Chiellini  :xnod:

Signed him in FM once. Quality.

One of the best CBs in the world, along with Andrea Barzagli. They are absolute colossus' at the back for Juve.

NTS the most consistent Wanderer all season, no one deserved that goal more for all the hard work put in week after week.

probably because he's better with his head than his feet! if he tried to kick it it might have gone high over the crossbar! great goal.

Statistically the best defender in the league, played an excellent game against wellington.

Congrats on the first goal for the Wanderers you big lug!

He can do it all.

Why would you even think to go for a header for a ball that low?? What a legend.

I love NTS, he's probably been our most consistent player, so don't get me wrong here, but if he used his foot for that attempt on goal, it was sailing over the crossbar, out of the stadium and would have probably killed a bystander in the streets of Wellington haha!

Smart use of the head.
