His foot injury requires surgery, could be out a very long time. Wanderers career is probably over at the minimum.

What a shame. He was just starting to get himself going well again. Hope his foot can recover asap and he can get himself back on the training paddock soon enough.

before he came i said i hadnt seen enough to comment on him, and still i can not judge his abilities other than his stint at roar.

At the start of the season, I thought he would have the impact that Haliti ended up having- coming on as a game changer and bagging some important goals. Hope he has some luck and hits top form this year.

I think he'll come good. We don't have too many wide players signed up. When Hersi gets suspended, I suspect we'll see Tahj starting.

We were already seeing that early on in the season. Tahj was preferred over Kwabs.

But then he got injured and Kwabs essentially got that spot by default.

also...Tahj, in his short time on the field had numerous shots on target whereas I don't remember Kwabs having any shots at all?

I was never a huge fan. Didn't see enough of him, but from what I did see he wasn't anything special. Prepared to see more of him next year though.

Does anyone know whether Tahj's dad is Ray Minniecon? I found this great story about his work helping an indigenous family get the medals their father/grandfather deserved for his service during WWII:

If this is the case then the Minniecons have lots of reasons to be proud of what they have achieved, not just Tahj's efforts on the park.

No - Ray Minniecon is Tahj's uncle, or great uncle. Ray has been around doing great things for many years in the indigenous community and beyond  including a stint with World Vision.

I hope Tahj has a better run next season. I was looking forward to watching him play and disappointed for him when he was injured.

So my suspicions were correct. An article in SMH yesterday basically confirmed that his commitment to stay fit during his injury showed Popa his character and thus landed him another deal.

The Grinder was all worth it!!!

its amazing how far he has come, when i saw him the first training session he seemed to be struggling quite a bit and he had an amazing match tonight, he has put in so much effort to get fitter and looks like he will have an amazing season, he has come so far since the first training session and deserves respect for how much effort he put in

He was looking sharp last season until he got injured. He was above Kwabs in the pecking order by a long shot.

I hope he has a blinder this season.

He was used on the right and left last night so that's good for him to be able to play in both positions. more chances of coming on or starting that way.

Another good outing from Tahj last night. He's coming along quite nicely, looks like his early return to pre-season training has really paid off.

Expecting great things from him this upcoming season.
