  1. Bugger - I went with a 50/50 chance when booking a business meeting in Melbourne next Friday afternoon. I was sitting pretty at 3-1 to Welly at half time. I am now royally screwed as I can't make Brisbane in time.
  2. Just arrived back in Coffs after the game. Any side that concedes 2 goals will 9 times out of 10 not win the game. We have looked better in the last month as the mistakes have been fewer than previously. Last night 2 horrible mistakes and we were punished with the second very cruel in terms of timing. Any side that only scores 1 in a game is also unlikely to win most games. We have for sure made progress in terms of the back 5. The trend is going in the right way in terms of goals conceded. However, what we haven't done is really rectify our goals scored per game which is still dismal. That's not news to anyone on here or at the club. Despite the loss the WSW support was awesome last night. Had a blast and managed to convince my Brisbane based brother in law that his sympathetic feelings towards the roar needs to be replaced by the passion of WSW. He was born in Blacktown and so he is just coming home. Job done.
  3. Did anyone see Lincoln city beating Brighton last night, or Wolves knocking over Liverpool (well ok Liverpool are totally shite so maybe that one not so much of a surprise), point is that it is a cup comp and anything can happen, who knows Popa might get a formula out of the shower of shyte that is here that clicks for the ACL, unlikely, but you never know.... For obvious reasons Boro I can't let that slip by....Brighton had 9 changes from the previous weekend league fixture and I'm sure Liverpool were the same. Unfortunately WSW doesn't have that comfort of squad numbers come the ACL. By the way congratulations to both Lincoln and Wolves.
  4. And it means that there is still 3rd or 4th place available if we can put a run together starting tomorrow in Vegas.
  5. From Wiki....The stadium claims a place in the FIFA World Cup records as the venue for the highest scoring match in World Cup qualification history. It hosted the match in which Australia beat American Samoa 31–0 on 11 April 2001. North Coast Football play their Over 35s matches and finals matches at Coffs Harbour International Stadium. My local over 35's comp. It sure as heck beats some of the pitches in the Granville comp...!
  6. Pox update. Just purchased 11,124.
  7. If there are any other north coast WSW fans on the 5.15am Grafton to Sydney train service tomorrow please come and say hi in the buffet car. I will be onboard from Urunga heading south....
  8. The football gods have played it very nicely with this fixture. All the pressure is on the unbeaten smurfs. We expect very little from the game. Easts expect an easy win. As a consequence I'm probably looking forward to this derby more than many others. Roll on Saturday. COYW.
  9. In - Convenient road trip north from Coffs for the weekend to see the outlaws.
  10. Do ya do ya do yawhere you from ???? you sexy thing you sexy thing I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES Since you came along....
  11. Top effort to see us get bent over and buggered again lol Bizarrely it's almost exactly the same distance as to get from the Amex to the Riverside....
  12. Nelson Bay - a mere pigeon step to Allianz from there. I'm just south of Coffs. Train all booked south on Sat morning arriving 8+ hours later in Sydney. Returning the same way Sunday morning. I missed a derby once up here and I'm not doing that again unless I'm a really long way away.....
  13. The turning point of the season and our first point at ANZ.....We are starting the climb. I hope.
  14. We missed our numerous first half chances and Berisha was clinical.
  15. For those considering a road trip for the TOD to Brisbane there is a match in Coffs Harbour on the evening of Friday 27th Jan between Newcastle Jets & Cahill City. It certainly breaks up the journey before heading on to Brisbane on the Saturday morning.
