  1. I like him too. But let’s save those discussion for the trips to Gosford and Newcastle. I’m sure LuisEnrique would prefer it that way
  2. I’m just here to say I love Markus Babbel and I love Mark Bosnich

  5. Highlight of the match was Slater ranting and raving about Riera dropping deep in the 1st half....only for Bozza to spend his half time analysis waxing lyrical about Riera dropping deep to bring others into play. Outstanding
  6. Mack is right, I did miscalculate the ppg stats *sighs*. But my point about us going toe-to-toe with Sydney and Newcastle still stands. It's also worth pointing out that the next time we played these 2 teams, Gombau lost 5-0 and 4-0. And in both of those games we could've conceded 2 or 3 more. While I disagree, people have a right to be comfortable with sarcraficing this season in order for Gombau to bed in his style. Different strokes for different folks. But 2 things: 1. Gombau has not sufficiently shown that he deserves the faith required to throw away a season in order for a greener pastures next year. And I see little evidence that next season will be much better. We've been beyond inconsistent (I need Mack's extensive vocabulary for an appropriate word). We've also copped repeated hidings. We only look good against poor teams and occasionally in the first 20 minutes of matches against decent teams. 2. Please don't suggest that using appropriate tactics for this squad wouldn't have us challenging. This squad isn't just our most expensive, it is by far our best ever squad. I'd go over the squad in more detail, but Lloydy has done a fine job of that already
  7. This apparently dud squad was undefeated, in 4th place, and averaging 1.6 points per game when Gombau took over. If we kept ticking over at that ppg rate, we'd be on 38 points and only looking up at Newcastle & Sydney. Oh and that ppg rate would've been higher had: 1. Baccus & Herd not got injured at ~the same time against Newcastle. A team we were dominating 2. Foxe made a freakin substitution when Sydney were getting on top of us when we were up 2-1 against them. Oh and had the ref not fallen for Carney's patented 'stop-and-drop' when in the box And those paying attention, those 2 examples involved us going toe-to-toe with the 2 best teams in the league. 'A dud squad'? Please
  8. In. Putting on my off-road treads in case I'm needed in the back 4
  9. Pleased to see Baby Baccus get another run in midfield. He's a bit good

  12. It's interesting, when we were bought by the Glazers & Chelsea & City started outspending us, the narrative from our long-term coach didn't change - we kept winning league titles. When the same thing happened at Arsenal, all of a sudden 4th became a trophy
  13. 30 minute interview with Ange. Did it today at an NAB luncheon. Well worth a watch https://www.socceroos.com.au/video/ange-postecoglou-talks-nabs-celebration-football-luncheon
