So, we can actually play. Noice one lads

Well we went all conservative when they went down to 9 men. Bizarre, and shows our state of mind.

But  I think the difference was Santa and Bridgey, and the improvement in Cejudo. We looked dangerous in attack for the first time in a while. Jumpei is useless though.

Also well done to Vedran for his first half effort.

Yeah, we need a more positive reaction when were in such a positive situation. All that time wasting passing crap in the last few minutes bugs me, when any team does it, not just us.

Clean sheet and two nice goals. ******* long overdue.

What really pissed me off besides all the VAR **** was the embarrassing passing in the last 6 minutes of the game.

we actually looked more like conceding against 9 men than when they had 11.

I look forward the referee's boss explaining the calls made by VAR this weekend.

As for the passing in the last 6 - I was disgusted at first, but then part of me thought that maybe our team also thought that the VAR was a farce and went easy? 99.99% of the time I would say "kill them off" but that refereeing was so farcical that in this situation I can forgive our team not putting the boot into 9 men.

I think it was more the state of the match at the time more than our state of mind.  Normally I would hate to see any team (esp Us) playing passes like that but the reality was with the **** going on, the officials would of been itching for a square up and any tackle from us was going to see one of us gone, so I was all for it tonight.  Don't need to tackle if you have the ball, we never laid a tackle on once the 2nd bloke went, we played passive defence like you do at training which they were instructed to do.

A bit disappointed we didn't go on with it especially when the Mariners were down to 9. Should of put more pressure on them and run them ragged.

In the spiriit of the "Spanish Round" the refs decided to get with the theme and let the red and yellow cards flow.First red.....justified, studs up into the back of Roly's calf. ...2nd red......ridiculous. Lorente lucky not to get a red..

Glad to see a win, a little more fluent than we have been.Baby Baccus great game.Santalab...what can you say, he lives and breathes red and black. Still more work needed on our passing game but the improvement was noticable.

A tougher game next up against the Jets but the players should of gained more confidence with a win.

Good result but will be hidden by the headline "Wanderers beat 9 men Mariners".

The VAR is a joke. Wins games for some (we know who they are) loses games for others or just makes a mockery of the game...

A good game of football was turned into a bore fest..

I'd like to think out last 6 minutes of football was a protest...

Finally **** went our way I don’t feel at all sorry for any other a league club until we hold the toilet seat for the 1st time so I agree with the Var lol!!!!

I agree with what you say, but that is still our state of mind. Worrying about accidentally going into a tackle the wrong way. Plus when they got the ball they still created half chances which means our tactics weren't well thought out.

But mostly I just think we wanted any type of win. So we just ran the clock down.

    Me too.

What a farce. The A-league has honestly become a joke. Tonight I was laughing my head off but if I was a Mariners fan I'd be steaming. Ridiculous.
