    BOM looking decidedly dicy

Don't care. Will be there to hopefully see the former (unofficial) Mayor of Fairfield with his tail between his legs after the game.

Mariners will be on the bounce back wanting to prove something after last weeks 5-1 massacre.

Gonna be a very tough game.

Not if they defend like crap

I'm hoping for a massive win

We haven't had a massive win since the 6-1 against Adelaide in season 1 lmao.

Always gotta do it the hard way.

We should double what Newcastle got.

Especially when Jumpei should have got the penalty shout and O'Donovan milked his penalty

    in x 3

Logic says we should win this by 2 or 3 so Draw it is then!

The question is will anyone be rested ahead of next Tuesdays game given its CCM. It would be good to get a few goals up by half time and give Santa and Bridgey more time or are they going to be part of the FFA cup team, if you know what I mean.

Crowd 12 thousand again. It would be good to get more but its us, at SOP, so you know how that pans out mostly.

FFA Cup is not until after the derby (24 Oct).

No Sotirio or Aspro again. Are they on national duty, or just not in the cunning Mr Foxe's plans?

Looks like Foxe only names players likely to actually make the start or bench, and his bench looks like gk, fullback, winger, midfield striker not gk, central defender, fullback, midfield, striker like many clubs do with five. Hamill might be ahead of Aspro because he's played fullback.

Hopefully Sotiro is just out completely. Maybe Clisby will be used as a wide utility player like Cole was.

If WSW want to be a title contender then these are the games that need to be won.

We seem to have imports who are pros, capable and willing to deliver the goods. Back five looks very solid. No excuses. 2:0 win.

14k crowd, taking 20k to Allianz the week after.

Front 3rd last week were all visa players.

Riera, Cejudo and Roly were all class with the shackles off. Jumpei played better. Llorente was excellent.

Risdon to start and cross to Riera.

All we need is 3 or more goals and a cleansheet and the smurfs will be s...ing themselves.

    • And if we’re losing 1-0 at 60 minutes, does he get game time?
    • We expect our coaches to have integrity and be honest. Criticising a coach for what he said is not criticising the fact he’s being “honest”. Someone talking doesn’t automatically mean it’s true, it doesn’t mean it’s definitely right. Talking without tact is often pointless, and this is where Marko sometimes lands.  Older generations love throwing the baby out with the bath water, then claim the younger more progressive generations are soft. This has happened every generation prior. Brosque has his view, and it sounds like he had been singled out when younger, but as an avid football consumer for the past 25+ years I don’t recall it being a frequent occurrence in the media. A lot changed after Beckham was pilloried post to post by media for the red card against Simeone and Argentina. **** started changing after that, coaches weren’t airing grievances in the media anywhere near as often. Over the past 10 years, where social media abuse has ramped up, where players now have an online presence and a semi-direct link to any “fan”(/possible asshole), there has been an ever decreasing amount of openly negative comments directed at named players by their coach/manager. That is what decent managers do, Marko proves he doesn’t fall into that category for multiple reasons.
