    like to see what Warren does marking Jumpei

    Jumpei needs a big game. We need our visa players to step up more than ever or they can simply step off. Jumpei's form has plummeted since a promising start. Romeo just got better last season. I don't see him in Romeo's class however happy to be proven wrong.

    I know Popa keeps saying we are on 'The right path' but my concern is just how long is this bloody path 'cos i reckon there's not much left of it.

    would assume that the centrebacks will end up marking Nico so a dive from Lowry and Griffiths to bring him down from behind.

    Anyone thinking about playing Mitch at striker with Nico at 10.

    Mitch seems to get in good positions, and it couldn't be worse than having two Youngsters players as our strikers. That being said, I have never seen Majok play, so I don't know much about whether he is ready for the A-League.

    I hate to bring logic into this but it's a public holiday on Monday.
    might as well be as public transport on a Sunday night will be fun for those trying to get home at 10pm. This game should be played 5:30 not 7:50 foxtel favoritism.

    Mitch seems to get in good positions, and it couldn't be worse than having two Youngsters players as our strikers. That being said, I have never seen Majok play, so I don't know much about whether he is ready for the A-League.

     

    A more plausible option would be start Lachie @ #9 & Shabwow @ #11.

    Neither Sotirio or Jumpei are offering anything in terms of our attack. Use one or both of them off the bench, if we must use them at all.

    Majok is still making his way at NPL / NYL level, so doubt he would come into Popa's calculations

    FIFA17 are suggesting otherwise, he went from a rating of 56 to 62

    And the coaching staff only figure this out now, weeks after giving him a 2 year contract extension? Another example of shoddy, lazy recruitment.

     

    Fornaroli & Kosta Barbarouses are worth signing on until 2018/19. Sotirio is not.

    Someone from the squad needs to step up to replace Santa, it's either Shabow or Majok right? Can't see Cole on the bench, Lustica still injured I think, those guys aside all of our forward midfielders or striker stocks are dried up.

     

    If we are to win we have to be stingy in defence. A clean sheet will be needed because we might only have a goal in us. We haven't had one of those for a while.

    I don't have the same issue with re-signing Sotirio as a lot of people do. He won't be on much money, he's a WS junior and he plays a bigger role when the opposition have the ball. He's not the attacking wizard we all want him to be but he can do a job and I'd be glad to keep him for another few years

    Surely for a young player being able to run around a lot and close down opposition players is pretty much a given.

    I agree that youth may benefit here but I also think that effective pressing and winning back the ball is a little more complex than being able to run around a lot

    yes unproven but also a unknown quantity for the opposition….

    soon find out if he cut out for this level

    True but I think a pro footballer should show more than effective pressing

     I think that is most people's issue, but being given a two year contract it's make or break for him. He knows he has to step it up a level or he will have 2x the amount of youngsters ready to fill his spot. 

    I don't have the same issue with re-signing Sotirio as a lot of people do. He won't be on much money, he's a WS junior and he plays a bigger role when the opposition have the ball. He's not the attacking wizard we all want him to be but he can do a job and I'd be glad to keep him for another few years

      Its the coach, the football played last night and against Jordan was atrocious, Toure should have been hooked at half time and be replaced by either of the Kuol boys.

      Pep Guardiola: "I'm going to defend you until the last day of our lives in the press". Rudan: Runs onto the field at full-time to berate an attacker for a goal coughed up by the two fullbacks being lazy, then slates him in a post-game interview and the press conference.  Sure, he apologised for "singling him out", did he apologise for singling out the wrong player to start with? The Mariners & Nix finished 5th & 6th in 21/22 when Rudan took over. Rudan's second year we finished 4th then lost to the smurfs in Round 1 while the Mariners won the Grand Final. 3rd year, CCM are the favourites for the Premiership, the Nix have a chance if CCM drop points, and we're back in 6th with a game tomorrow against a team who beat us 7-0 earlier in the season that if we lose we're out of the finals spots, and even if we made it, we're probably just going to lose to Victory in Week 1. I'm so over this ****. Rudan has had three years and done **** all to improve things, he's not done well enough to add all this pointless drama and bullshit.
