Description: Fofanah was born in Sierra Leone and at a young age immigrated with his parents to Australia. At the age of 14, Fofanah had a successful trial with Manchester City, scoring six goals in two matches with the under-18 squad. However, due to difficulties with passports and visas he did not join the club. After joining the Bankstown Berries he was subsequently picked up for the Wanderers National Youth League squad. He impressed the club enough to earn his first professional contract as a Wanderers first team player on 20/5/14.

I see you only have room for 3 highlights. I think this kid will have many more in his career. A special talent.

Started a bit shakily. But probably just nerves.

You could really see him grow in confidence with every second.

It was a pretty dirty tackle that injured him before he came off. Didn't seem too bad an injury though.

Agree.

He started off full of nerves but as the game went on, he was one of our best.

Very confident, quick and skillful player.

Left footed too!

Oh it is coming up Milhouse

Once this kid stregthens up look out. Between him & Alessi we have uncovered two real gems.

Was impressive to watch live once his nerves settled. Had a few moments of brilliance but can't help feel that he got outmuscled a little occasionally in that midfield. Once he bulks up a little, he should do real well for us.

Expecting big things from the kid

I think I saw this kid play for metro west in the U14 state titles in wagga wagga a few years ago,

it was probably before his man city trial, he had so much speed and looked really comfortable on the ball back then playing against kids his own age.

I'm pretty sure first team.

He is holding a WSW jersey with an  NRMA sponsor, so it must be first team.

His post quotes "Signing my first professional contract with Western Sydney Wanderers today"

Good to see some fresh talent.

Just randomly taking photos out in the park.

Someone at WSW really needs to get with the modern "Photo of player at desk signing contract" style.

Also this quote from "New Girl" applies in this situation:

"I like your hat. I like how it's not a team or a logo; it's just blue." (in this case, black).

Look I know this might not be in good taste and I hope the dude doesn't read the forum....

But that photographer has a seriously creepy vibe about him...

Can anyone enlighten me on how to pronounce Fofanah's first name?

A-LU-SI-NE?

A-LU-SINE?

Something else entirely?
