I don't think Gosford would have seen this much red and black before.

Only when the un-used Central Coast Bears flyers hit the recycling plant.

You are talking about the place that has wanted to be the new home for old North Sydney Bears lol...

But having said that they are going to crap their yellow dacks seeing the onslaught of real football in our colours. Looking forward to walking in to Bluetongue with so many of us in WSW red and black

I fully understand why the fans didn't want the bears/manly merge and move to happen. But the NRL missed a huge opportunity in getting a team on CC. Its great that the A-league got in first. IMO its one of the contributing factors as to why the NQ furry and Gold Mining United failed...NRL had "established support" in the area.

Yeah. True. The A-league also has the benefit over NRL by having teams in Perth and Adelaide - places the NRL once put teams in but then folded.

Adelaide was never going to respond to the Superleague team they had there...if anything Football should be a stronger No.2 sport in Adelaide as neither union nor league have no real presence there and can't rely on expat communites from the eastern states.

As for Perth they have the Saffers who escaped/abandoned South Africa to get the union demographic, plus there is a healthy mob of ex-eastern state folk who've gone over for lifestyle/work, so that helps a little with league as well. Football seems to struggle because I don't believe it has escaped the Pommy migrant market over there...the playing style has been built around the English/Scots dour crap from decades ago and as we saw on the weekend they haven't escaped it yet.

Let's face it, Gosford and the Central Coast is where we were about 30 years ago...lots of young families looking for affordable housing. That's why this weekend is going to be the true clash of football in this year's comp...our respective cultures value the struggle of the game and its been in our blood for years. Of course they don;t come out and support their team like we do ours...

Where will the core RBB set up? Think we should reserve or quarantine off the middle bays to get full effect

LOL I guess Central Coast ripped off the 'Mariners' name from the Super League club then.

Actually...that is a good point...where the F did Arnie's Amateurs get the name (smacks of ad exec/masturbatory marketing to me). It's like Glory, Victory, Roar, Jets...BS names that sound like they were ripped out of a American NFL playbook.

Why don't they become (like Bayer Leverkusen) Central Coast Masterfood, or perhaps Central Coast 04? Gosford Celtic? Dynamo Woy Woy...

Just saying...

Going with Masterfoods I'm thinking Woy Woy Soy Sauce.

Dynamo Woy Woy LOL!

According to the aboriginal language when a word is repeated like that it means its where the spirit lives. Eg The spirit of Woy.

True story.

Well I prefer what Spike Milligan said about Woy Woy..."It's the largest above ground cemetery in the world"
