I'm looking forward to this game. Victory are the form team in attack but their defence is shaky and have been conceding alot of goals.

Their only clean sheet was against the Wanderers.

They also bring a good crowd with them, so it should be a great atmosphere.

Agree Jaggy. We are prob the two inform teams on the league going hea to head. Defence has been an issue for them by try are still picking up points.

I think Victory will come to press us high up the park. One thing I'm sure popa is aware of is at times the player on the ball doesn't have adequate support around him to move forward. Still we are getting better and better each week. You can sense the motivation in our players. They are loving every minute of it.

This will be a great game.  Shutting down Rogas and Thompson is going to be a big test for our defence and will also be a good lead-up to Central Coast.  Covic is highly motivated to have an outstanding performance and I am pleased to see him re-sign, especially on the cusp of such an important game.

If they are down to 10 men again, I just hope we make the most out of it.

Thompson and Rojas are by their best players but let us also not forget the creativity of Broxham in their midfield.

Cant wait for this game. Its going to be a cracking game.

I saw Tard's game vs Newcastle and they looked bloody great. We must ensure that Rojas and Archie are well guarded, cant allow them space nor time.

Our defence was well tested against Perth and did look a little shaky at times however I am sure with the full squad back on deck we should be fine.

Strong performance against the Tards will give us the confidence we need for Sunday's match.

Cheers,

I hope they send up some supporters.  It was a good atmosphere last time they came.  And we have improved since the last time we played them.  I'm really looking forward to this game.

Great - we want a full strength Victory team. We want to measure ourselves against the best. We have nothing to be frightened of!

Hopefully they don't go down a man. An eleven man victory, pushing up in attack and leaving themselves exposed to a counter is ideal for us.

Milligan still out but Leijer returns.

I'll say a tough 1-1 draw in this one. No where near as many victory fans coming up this time. Will only be 100-150 I'd imagine after over 500 last time,

The Victory is the only team that concerns me really. Any chance Rojas can come down with food poisoning or something.

Any girls want to volunteer getting him hammered on New Years eve and maybe tying his balls in a knot. :xnod:

i agree that he is a threat, archie can be one too terrible form last season but under ange he has really shown some form again

I reckon if our team stays together for a season or two we would be able to beat real and barca together... Ok I know I'm taking it too far but seriously we would be SERIOUS TITLE CONTENDERS not that we are not now but we would be the team to fear... For a first year team we are too good, in every aspect.. From club all the way to fans

Mate- you're not far off. The confidence and trust in each other that these blokes are starting to play with, the community spirit... It's hard to believe that this team is STILL less than a year old.

I'm not a massive "Dicko" fan (don't particularly have anything against him) but in the video they play before all home games he says (words to the effect of) "100 years from now, the wanderers are going to be one of the biggest clubs in the world"...... Let's do it. In our lifetime. Spread the word.

I'm also a bit p***ed. Happy New Year.
