Wow! The level of maturity from a 48 yr old is astonishing! Sure hope not every Sydney-sider is like that!

I'll leave it at that as it seems you get enjoyment out of this. Good luck this Friday "young" man :good:

ABC1234 did you really think you were going to come into an oppositions forum sh*t talking everyone and be greeted with open arms?

Sh*t talking? If commending WSW on their achievments is sh*t talking then I shall not sh*t talk anymore lol

You don't even watch your own team play?

I don't have Foxtel to watch the away games. Home games I do go.

Probably save yourself time and money, they don't win anyways....

Hold up... You're telling me the guy who punched a bloke is a mv fan? So its just a coincidence that it happened RIGHT WHEN YARRASIDE MOVED TO THAT END OF THE STADIUM THEN?

Also to accuse MV of being obsessed with their haircuts when YS literally calls themselves "The best dressed active support in the league" is downright hypocritical.

Engelaar will never play for MH... he's ancient and injured... Mifsut couldn't hit a barn door. Kewell is way past it... Kisnorbo is good, but can't stop giving away fouls... Murdocca, Ramsey = good signings... Gol Gol Mahbratu is the worst player the a-league has ever seen... AZIZZZZ is quality... My brother is a heart fan... You're not not sh*t talking.

True. Perhaps I can donate that money to further your education for the "less fortunate and illiterate kids"

The YS moved ends because the way the security mistreated a MH supporter. It was a protest against them. That supporter that punched the WSW bloke was sitting in your bay (away bay) some time before he did that.In terms of best dressed, never heard of someone saying "best dressed" in the league. One guy sh*t stirs about dress code you take that seriously it seems like it.

By the way JamCal, I see you support West Ham and FC St. Pauli. Two distict teams: West Ham right wings, St Pauli far left wings. What's the go with that??

Also to clarify, West Ham itself isn't a right wing club. See: The fact our chairman is jewish. There are some dickhead fans and a few EDL wankers... But I think for the most part its apolitical.

Jesus, the Heart forum is depressing as ****.
"I want us to lose so the club can finally do something about Aloisi"

On topic though, 2-0 to the Wanderers with Juric bagging another brace. Harry Kewell to see how much of a failure the Heart is and decide to leave, Mifsud to start to wonder why he signed for the Heart.

Heart only become relevant when the Melb derby is on.

honestly dont mind Heart (more because I have MV lol), would be interesting to see how ppl of Melbourne would react if the heart became a top side in the A-league.

I think Heart should really go for the working class, against all odds approach to the club, that connects with everyday people. no point going for Marqee stars like Kewell/Aloisi etc. Heart fans would see that as trying to be like MV & SFC.

IMO their next Marqee should be Bresciano, very hard working, professional who gives his all for the team. Marqee player yes but different type of Marqee, someone who wants to play for the club, not collect their next pay cheque.

back on topic, heart to give WSW a scare but WSW will get the 3 points. WSW defenders need to be on their game, can see heart surprising WSW tommorow night.

In all honesty, Harry is a joke. he is only in it for himself but when you have a GM that thinks Harry will pull in the crowds he is kidding himself. I think our Maltese international is too pacey for your backline. But since Kisonorbo is out and if Hoffman plays this Friday, we will get smashed. That guy is simply not A-league material just like your tall Croatian sticker you had last season (can't remember his name)...... but then again, at least he scored a couple.

His name is sir Dino Kresinger, cult hero who was a team player unlike selfish id rather play golf than attend the game Kewel. Dino has more forum pages than your whole MH forum put together, so don't diss dino he has a premiership to his name unlike the Heart.

I do agree with you in some way with your line up on paper but your coach needs to be replaced with experience not Aloisi look at my Armani suit. You've had quite a few scoring oppertunities but just can't finish and still early days but if your coach can't keep it together he needs to go buy round 10 and bring in quality coach.

As for supporting your club and building a successful team you will need a combination of off field community work and on field success to build upwards. Active support needs to lift as you only need to come down to Wanderland to see why, the big disadvantage you have in Melbourne is afl and there biased media.

But anyway we will smash you tomorrow on field and our traveling fans will out sing you off the park.:woah:

I'll side with ABC12345 here. Do any NRL teams really represent their actual region? Do the Bulldogs represent Canterbury? **** no. Do Souths represent South Sydney? Their supporters are scattered all over Sydney. You could only really say that Manly, Cronulla and Penrith represent their region, and even these days Penrith wants to just be called 'Panthers'. Two reasons for this. Clubs are becoming brands who want to be the biggest and the best, and secondlyrestricting yourself to just representing one region limits yourself to becoming the biggest and best. It is why Manchester Utd and Barcelona advertise globally. What does it matter where they are from? Money talks.

We (WSW) are an oddity here that we very much represent our region Western Sydney which gets belittled by others not only in this city (but in this country). We take pride in this because we are going against the grain and supporting something that was always seen as unfashionable. We are making it cool to be uncool. It is funny though how our bandwagon is now growing to include people from all regions around Sydney and NSW now with the success of our club. Somehow we are slowly becoming a brand, and even people from the more affluent parts of Sydney are deciding they want to suport the 'Westie scum'. Human behaviour is a funny thing.

Awesome. No one could have articulated it as well as this. Edited by jocosmic

I don't know whether ABC will bother returning to the WSW forum, after some of you came at him as relentlessly as you have done. He didn't seem to be trying to be obnoxious, and I think he got a bit of a raw deal here. The essence of what he said ( or attempted to say ) was

1. I'm happy that WSW are successful
2. Happy the excitment and style they bring to the A-league
3. I conceed MH will never surpass MV in terms of success (at least in the near future)
4. We (MH) made the best recruitment off-season
5. We (MH) have one of the best team on paper but with a s*** coach it will go no where
6. May the best team win on Friday..

I don't know that any of us could remotely take exception to Points 1-3.  I personally never have a problem with point 6...it's one of the values my  dad taught me that I'll never lose, despite my feelings for the Wanderers.

Most of us may not agree with points 4 and 5.  But like a few others here, I don't think Heart is a bad team, and they actually played brilliantly  (all over the Roar) for most of the the first half of their last game.  Sure the Roar came back and overwhelmed them...but even then,  the Heart had scoring chances til the end of the game, and the scoreline was totally  unreflective of the whole game.  Mulvey  praised Heart and tore strips off his own team because they were outclassed by the Heart for the first 30 mins. He admitted that the Roar had no answer to the way Heart had played early in the game.

As I see it (self confessed football ignoramus compared to you guys...but I'm gonna stick up for ABC, because I'm always for the underdog) there is nothing wrong with a supporter living in hope for better times. If ABC has been loyal to his team since the start, good luck to him, because there must have been nothing of the joy for Heart supporters that we WSW supporters have experienced.  If ABC lives with the notion that he has a team with potential -some good recruits etc (but a coach who hasn't been able to do what Popa has done for WSW)  well again...good on him  for maintaining his optimism.

ABC didn't sound to me as though he was trying to antagonistic...I would like to see him able to share thoughts about his team here...there have been what seem to be very knowledgeable insights into the situation they face expressed by some forumites, and it seems reasonable to me that he should be welcome to join in on a discussion about his team here.

He'll be fine. He's probably out shopping for new some threads to wear to the big game tomorrow.

There isn't a worse insult in the world other than being a Victorian :)

Hopefully minniecon starts. Brought it to another level when he came on. Maybe popa might want to utilise him as an impact player though... Interesting decisions.

Just read that Hersi isnt playing. Spewing!

It doesn't really matter that Hersi isn't playing. Last week both Santalab and Minniecon did well in the position. So we should be ok.

This is the kind of game I can see us losing by the way... Let me explain why:

We're pretty much never going to lose in NSW, no matter where in the state we go it'll be a home game. Our energy combined with the team's pretty much assures at least a point, even when we're outplayed for spells of the game (see: CCM. Exclusions: grand final because we had a lot of injured players/some players being too lackadaisical.)

Our squad also seems to get up for the big games. Brisbane away when they scored their first goal against the reining premier and won.... We've never done anything except beat Brisbane.... Adelaide we haven't lost to...

I see us losing to teams like Melbourne heart, Wellington Phoenix, when they're playing in front of 7,000, our players go in overconfident, and the lack of atmosphere drains the energy....

That being said I think we'll win 8-1... But it's possible that this is an upset.

Link to comment

I think even with our foot off the pedal and overconfidence, I think our side is still top notch quality and it should shine through in the end.

So I think the worst we can expect is a shock draw.

Popa will keep them on guard. The thing with Heart is that you don't know what they'll throw at us. We have to be ready for them. We will create chances and there will be times in the game when we will be able to pounce. We have to take these chances.
