I doubt it, the only chance that he has of starting a game is when the FFA cup starts next year and we're playing a state league team or if in the group stages of the ACL we're already through and the game doesnt mean anything

With Poljak and La Rocca out I'd love to see Spira get a run as one of the two holding midfielders. I think he'd do really well there. He's very composed on the ball and hits good passes. His defensive qualities are faultless. That obviously would mean Topor and Beauchamp pairing up again at the back.

Downside is he's been sensational so far this season as a CD so it would be an element of risk in moving him.  Spira has long term aspirations of going to Brazil. He must have one foot in the door but he'll only do that as a CD.

Wasn't sure where to post this so I'll chuck it here..

Including tonight we have 13 games left, of which just 4 are outside of NSW.

We knock off two of those this week so 9 of the last 11 are essentially 'home' games given how we travel and the Heart game is tour of duty so tick that off as a home game too!

This is very exciting !!!

Just received a message for a guy I know who works down in Melbourne. Boiling hot down there already this morning he says, just went outside and roasted. No change is due this evening so temps could still be over 30c at kick off! Going to be hard going.

are NT still doing their cute little protest by not sitting in the middle bay?

Have some respect. Standing, instruments, banners, flags all exist in this league because the North Terrace fought to have them, if it was left to the FFA you'd be sitting in your seats and clapping politely.

RBB have done extremely well in a very short time, but you have benefited from wars that happened years before you were founded.

You are oinly now are starting to experience what we lived with 8 years (and make no mistake it will get nastier once the FA sells you). Hopefully if in 6 years time a new club starts, they will treat you with some respect.

Massive respect for your top boys of the Burberry massif smashing up a pub with scarfers inside and then promptly running away.

Total utter f u c k wits

So, presuming JP6 and Alessi aren't on on the pitch... who will take the RB?

http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/a-league/news/1178548/WSW-duo-likely-to-miss-out

Definitely out are midfielders Mateo Poljak (hamstring) and Iacopo La Rocca (shin), who were injured in the warm up and first half respectively on Saturday.

Defender Jerome Polenz will also be unavailable after pulling out on the eve of the Sydney derby with a hamstring issue.

Alessi earned plaudits for his first top-flight appearance, some of them from Popovic, who didn't want to push the teenager too much.

"I don't think that's really fair on the kid; he's still quite sore from the game," Popovic said.

"Just physically and emotionally I think it was a lot for the boy, and we've got to look after him as well."

Santalab has scored in three of his last four games, but Popovic felt the striker was still short of full match fitness after having missed several weeks through injury earlier in the season.

Cole and Heffernan can both play RB

I thought Cole was injured?  totally forgot about Heff. Which reminds me..

Was he a late call up on Saturday?  I remember lining up around 545 at the (RBB) gates and saw him rushing from the car park towards the players entry

Mate there was a ****tonne of respect around here for you and you saw nothing but support at the start of the season for us.... After the 28th, you can't expect anything from us.

Police fails to do their job and have presence at the way pub, chanting at each other develops into a brawl (as it can easily happen, when young men get carried away, one in al in etc.), the tabloids go berserk.

It changes nothing, the NT and the RBB are the only serious supporter groups in this country, their futures are linked, restrictions on one will inevitably lead to restrictions to the other.

RBB future is going in a TOTALLY DIFFERENT direction than the NT. Dont even put the 2 in the same sentence.

Popa will rotate the **** out of this squad again being so soon after the derby and so close to Adelaide.

I just hope we win both away from home.

I didnt know that standing, waving a flag, and chanting was a revolutionary idea that NT created when going to a football match.

I guess you learn something new every day

It was seen as a revolutionary idea,  in the A League.

There is obviously a lot of things you don't know. Not to worry, I am sure your boys are already starting to feel the pressure of the establishment, and it will get worse the moment the FFA sells you. You'll learn.
