Awesome!

Because my friends and I are broke uni students, hopefully we can walk to these thingies or catch a train there without too much hassle...

broke uni students! then newcastle is the place for you.

as mark twain once said about newcastle.

Newcastle consists of a long street with a graveyard at one end with no bodies in it, and a gentleman's club at the other with no gentlemen in it".

Brisbane lose, good for us

Mariners lose, good for us

Not worried....

Brisbane will miss out on 1st spot if they stuff up big time.

I am more worried about the pack behind us - we could easily fall back quite easily and be struggling just to finish the year in second. So my preference is the Mariners to lose..........

That being said, there is nothing saying that we can't put on a run in on the finals. Can't do exactly what we did last year because we will have acl, but you never know.

In the chasing pack, mariners.... Was it a win against a poor Newcastle side or are they duplicating the style of football they played under Arnold, hard to say? MV, two horrible losses might turn to three after Perth showed some glimmers of good play in the second half, should be too strong for victory. ESFC horribly inconsistent, will it be 5-0 MV side that comes out or that team that played against heart at sfs??

Don't think we should worry about chasing pack, worry about roar who are 5 points and one game in front (virtually 8 points)

Everyone cover your nuts, Joel Griffiths is back.

Haha, I actually spoke to the assistant referee (Alex Glasgow) who the 'sack whack' involved. He had said that he simply 'brushed his shorts and wasn't aware that he attempted to strike him'... however, personally I think he did catch him and was a bit in shock and nobody knew how to handle it.

After the way last march was held can't see why it wouldn't be held from same pub and location.

Just wait till late tonight/early tomorrow morning?

Pro ticket no pax? How are we supposed to wildly speculate about numbers? Terrible

Just bought 8 tickets, bay 21 row m, so that means bay 20 sold out I would presume

Bought three tickets in the normal section (I'm bringing friends), and it plonked us in the middle of Bay 6. Not sure what that means in terms of ticket sales...

Active or non active? That's in the middle of nowhere?

Make sure you join in our area at least, sure there will be heaps of room up there

I'm bringing friends who have never been to an A-League match before, so they're basically there to scope the thing out. They don't know any chants or anything... yet! :xnod:

So... yeah. I was going for Bay 8 at least, but... darn allocation gave me Bay 6. Should be seats somewhere but... we'll see!

Either way bay 6 looks pretty damn good for away tickets

He has other non wsw mates with him so I assume he didn't buy tickets in the active away section!! Haha!!

Sorry to quote a huge picture, but have the Jerks moved their active section? Unless this map is messing with my perspective I had thought they were always in the area of bays 1-3. Each time we've been up there they've been on the same side as out support and we haven't seen them and had no chance to hear them which made it feel like a home away from home. Will be interesting being able to see their active support.

They moved their active section because last time home match against the wanderers, our fans walked through the home active support. Home active fans went mental and police arrested one or two home fans for doing some stupid stuff.

Don't think it will take away from the home away from home atmosphere we get up there!

Yeah, don't want to add to the number of people who won't sing - we already deal with that enough at Parramatta! (unfortunately)

TV side.

That's a bit odd then, the home active support not being on the TV side but... oh well. What can you do if you don't have proper-ish bays at the ends of grounds!

Should bring them up to the non-active bays at the back of 21, I'm sure there will be heaps of room! Even though non-active are partially active away, you should feel welcome up there!! Know I'm bringing along two newbies along!!

We are just heading to the same pub we met at last game.

Should be a great day, and we should be true favourites.

Come up and support the boys, Newy is always a fun trip, even better when we dominate on and off the pitch.

Might end up doing that actually.

As long as I can still watch the game so I can intelligently give me 3, 2, 1 for the week without having to watch a replay :P
