Considering that most of the top guns played against Heart, what formation can we expect?

Heffernan, Beauchamp, Golec, Mullen in defence, Trifiro and La Rocca as DMs, Mooy, Santalab, Kubi, Haliti up front?

Good call FCB, question remains does he rest players for this match day or does he play more of aleague squad so I see the following options

Option One

Heart - 3 days - Ulsan (rotated squad look FCB) - 6 days - Chinese team (spira, mooy, shinji, bridge, juric, polenz half rotated half aleague team) - semi final (full aleague squad)

Option Two

Heart - 3 days - Ulsan (spira, mooy, shinji, bridge, juric, polenz half rotated half aleague team) - 6 days - Chinese team (rotated squad look FCB) - semi final (full aleague squad)

Anything we can get out of this game will be a bonus, the fact that they drew and lost to the Chinese team makes them a little more vulnerable but a little more desperate!

I would think Kubi will be in and Haliti up front.

If we lose and Kawasaki win in china we are as good as out . We would have to win on the last day and hope the already qualified Koreans would beat Kawasaki away with possibly a goal swing needed as well .

Very tight group could be very interesting finish if we can snag a draw tomorrow night .

im sure that  but didnt la rocca pick up his second yellow card in his last game.  normally you get suspended for a game. still looking into this them if so the midfield will be trif mooy and ono.

defence will be beac, golec heff and mull. gk will be tyson, wingers santa and kabs? and upfront tommi

I think if we draw this game, and win our last game, we go through regardless of the other results.

That is correct.. or even win this game and draw at home.

Getting 4 points in the last 2 games, we will definitely go though.

We were VERY lucky it worked for Kawasaki at home, they were unlucky not to score a goal.

We've *parked bus*/held on to a 1 goal lead many games this season and there has been at least 4 games were we couldn't hold on.

Jets Away,

Victory Away,

Mariners Away,

Last week vs Kawasaki

I'd go with:

********************************Covic*********************************

Mullen**************Beach*************Golec****************Heff

*********************La Rocca*********Trifiro**********************

Kubi**************************Mooy**************************Bridge

********************************Juric***********************************

I think both Tomi & Bridge were substituted early with this game in mind. Therefore i think both will start. We have kept players as fresh as we can, where possible, but i think now is the to play as strong a team as possible. If we are to have a consistent threat against these, then we need our two most prolific players starting. La Rocca, Trifiro & Mooy should provide energy & a bit steel in the middle of the park. I would prefer to see Topor start but with Golec a near certain starter, its hard not to see the right footed Beauchamp starting alongside him. Spira probably too much a risk to back up & expect 90. Kubi has been impressive in these ACL games.... I have a sneaking suspicion that he will break his drought in this game.

A point here would be massive. A win & I'm nude.

We don't play again until next week, so play the big guns n go for it.If these guys want to eventually play in Europe, they've got to get used to playing a lot more games than they're playing now.Lets go kick some butt WSW!!!!

so much this. we have (hopefully) 4 games left over 3 weeks then a 6 month off season - time to pick the best 11 for each opponent and go for it. the squaddies like cole, trifiro etc shouldn't see another minute barring injury.

Yep!!

Had we lost on sat and had to play this weekend I would expect a "second string" team. But now that we have a break we should be fielding a strong team hungry for the win!

It is La Rocca and Trifiro I worry about in that formation. When under pressure they really fall back and their distribution quality really falls away when they are on the back foot. Trifiro gives the ball away far too easily for my liking. When you have two players falling back like that it really puts pressure in the back line. Need a good game from those two tonight if playing.

wanderers $6 to win and $4 to draw, $2.60 for the double chance (wanderers win or draw).

might head down to the local tab and put $10 on the double chance, theres almost 3 pizzas in that!

La Rocca and Heff are both suspended. Our midfield isn't going to be particularly strong.
