Don't understand all the complaints about game travel and scheduling. Parra's not that far from Gosford.

They're factoring the travel times from Kingsford Smith to Gosford and from Gosford to Parra. That would be a distance.

Why would they bother taking the players back to Gosford?

They're cheap and don't wanna pay for accommodation in Parra?

"FFA purposely made Wanderers come second, then bribed the AFC so they could have an easier schedule going into the A-League finals. On top of that, they denied us what should have rightfully been 10 000 tickets to Mariners fans!"

tinfoil hats are selling very well around the league, especially in Gosford and east Sydney

For those of you unable to attend or just in case the RBB is a bit out of practice, I'd say there would be nothing better than getting down to Parra tomorrow morning and belting out a bunch of tunes to those lovely tourists staying at the local hotels.

The Mariners will check into their Parramatta hotel on Friday morning and try to get as much rest as possible before the match the following evening.

"We understand their perspective but our belief is that, if you're a member of the side hosting the finals' match, you should have the right to purchase a ticket in your home team area," he said. "That's one of the advantages of earning the right to host a match and we have the same belief with all finals matches." -De Bohun.

Such a hypocrite, if we played ESFC, we wouldn't be playing at Wanderland!!!!!

gah have a refereeing appointment at 3pm on saturday

90 minute match so it should end around 4:45pm

then i'll get home around 5pm

then i have to go eat, shower, change and then rush off to the stadium before kick-off at 6:30pm

Might be cutting it kinda close!

Red card half the other team = game abandoned = go home early.

Out of eat, shower and change, only one of those is compulsory.

You should **** it in.

Couldn't agree more.

Take your wanderers gear with you, change in transit, straight to the stadium, too easy.

Oh and before all that be sure to harden up.

Charlesworth was also angry at FFA for a ticket allocation for visiting Mariners fans of just 1200 when he claimed they could have filled an entire end of the stadium, arguing they would have brought between 4000 and 5000 fans.

That's do me - how many people did they get to thier HOME final last week? 10,000 in a stadium holding 20,000? And 1,000 of those were Reds fans.

If we were playing the Heart, Phoenix or even Perth, we would get more of thier fans to Parra than the Mariners.

Exactly right Wanderer747.  To add to your point:

How many Away tickets were sold, when Mariners last played against us at Parra Stadium???

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark here, but I'm going to say it was nowhere near 4000 or 5000 - let alone anywhere near 1200!!

It shouldn't be our problem if they only want to turn up to Finals matches, after not turning up to matches all A-League season.

IF they had been turning up in numbers to their regular season matches, then the match could've been played at a larger venue, and yeah, they could've brought more people (as could we).

Mariners are not boat people just an angry yellow army with a chipped shoulder and pirate parrot defending their territorial claims to a re-birthing baptism at Claymore so I don't understand all this criticism. Haliti in the rain versus CCM is as good a bet as a goal during the Polenz Polka. Ha Bi Bi ole ole ole Habibi bi bi ole ole ole

To the 4000 Mariners members who are dying to come down to Parramatta: there are still tickets available.

Yeah but the poor souls feel 'unsafe' if they have to sit next to Wanderers supporters !!!

Link to comment

If all these fans they talk about actually turned up to home games and some away games maybe their team would have performed slightly better over the course of the season, not missed out on a home final on goal difference and they wouldn't have this problem in the first place. But yeah, it's our fault.

Even if they finished second and didn't have this 'horror draw' and conspiracy against them, they wouldn't have even filled 2/3rds of the stadium. The opposition supporters fill thier stadium, not thier own supporters.

I used to think the Smurfs whined about everything but seriously, the Mariners have overtaken them.

I don't wanna see these CCM in final again, they don't even have enough fans to support them in the finals. I like to see WSW v's MV final at ANZ.

Not being disrespectful but the back line should be stanley, beauchamp, cole and heffernan. Also, start haliti instead of bridge he works more than lazy bridge.

God love them. Memories come back of a few of our guys standing in the cove back in October.

Don't understand all the complaints about game travel and scheduling. Parra's not that far from Gosford.

There main gripe is that they wanted the game moved to Sunday to get an extra day to recover, not that it has already been moved once so they could get an extra day of recovery.

Comments are bloody hilarious, club has already agreed to be sold at a certain price at June 30, so the tinfoil talk of it being done to increase the value of the WSW is too funny!! Also hilarious to think that they couldn't be bothered to travel for its last match down in Sydney so how did we know to expect all this demand for the final, also as goat says, you can still go and buy tickets. So why are you complaining again?
