My calf muscles still haven't recovered from Saturday and I can't wait to fully destroy them this Sunday :)

I had a work meeting yesterday and kept getting asked during the presentation why my voice kept dropping out. Vocal chords will just be healed in time.

Sounds like you're a candidate for 'singers nodules' !! Years of singing on the terraces/pubs etc took it's toll on mine !!

Don't think the crowd will quite get up to that. Unfortunately I think memberships will limit the capacity of the stadium, with at leat 1-2k not turning up for every game. I reckon it'll be more like 17k. And we'll win 3-0

3-0. Ray Hadley to be seen in a state of euphoria by 10 minutes in. "This is something special ladies and gentlemen!" He exclaims. Suddenly the threat hooligans pose to national safety occupies his single brain cell and he requests a cold shower at half time to calm down and maintain the rage. Post match reports he is heard driving home singing dale cavese...incorrectly

Suprise tifo: **** off horse head, we're full

was actucually surprised with the grill team this week with the half time game they are having mg west= v gus= east and how they are talking about the wanderers i was expecting more bulls**t  like you are use to hearing from nrl grubbs not pointing any fingers or anything (RAY HADLEY!!! :aggressive:  ) but they have been rather positive in what they have said about the wanderers and us fans.

I always listen to tripleM and the Wanderers actually get a decent run with them. They're obviously 2 league boys and a cricketing/sports fanatic so there isn't too much football talk but I've found there to be always positive stuff coming from them.

We all heard last night at the fan forum de Bohun saying that the single biggest issue the police have with our active support is the use of those maritime stress signal devices.

So please refrain from using them even if they look great (which I agree with), because the long term damage they cause to the reputation of our whole supporter group far outweighs the few minutes of personal excitement and visual pleasure you get from them.

Especially given the dire bushfire situation this week, when hundreds of people have lost their homes and all their possessions, and a few even their lives, it would just be insanely insensitive to rip one of those things this Sunday.

You can imagine the negative media headlines and the massive backlash we'd suffer as a result.  Not to mention further increased police presence - as if we didn't have enough in Gosford - any future expansion of the terrace would be taken up by f...ing riot police!

So please, please, please, please, don't do it and discourage others from doing it!

This. Especially around bushfire sensitivity. Perfect storm for antifootball media to tear in if those things go off.

Gulp.... didn't know where to put this...There are a few Posnan threads, but I think they're in RBB type forums, and I usually avoid posting there.  So, regarding the Posnan, which I think is now pretty much an around the stadium expectation, is anyone else uncomfortable about the turning away from the game aspect?  Where I sat at Bluetongue...upstairs and a Bay further away from the RBB end, it was prob 50-50 Wanderers and Mariners.

When the Posnan started,  some WSW supporters got up with varying degrees of confidence and commitment.   We were 2nd from the back row, with solid WSW supporters behind us.  They seemed to know the chants, and I'm guessing, attended game at Parra.  I stood up rather hesitantly, but the people behind me very politely indicated that they were wanting to watch goal-mouth action, and were plainly not going to stand up...nor were they going to turn their backs. To me, this was fair enough.  I sat down.

I know it'll be different at Parra tomorrow.

I really, REALLY like the unity shown in the joining together, shoulder -to-shoulder  experience/display, ...but I really REALLY feel uncomfortable about turning away from the game. This is partly because I don't want to miss what's going on, but it's mainly  because it feels  really disrespectful to the players, whose efforts are why we are there.  I'm sure it's cool with the player...but it makes me uncomfortable.

I wouldn't have any problem doing this facing the pitch...and I'm sure there's a reason for backs being turned (I just don't know why that is the case except it was copied by other overseas supporters that way )     :unknw:

I'm interested in hearing what others here think.  :good: PS I don't really feel in the mood for any  :fool:  or  :vava:  or    :smurfnono:  or     Thanks !!  I'm just asking...

Because the Grecque is a dance that's done with your back facing the pitch. If you don't wanna do it, don't do it. If you're in the RBB and don't wanna do it, get out of the RBB. If you're in the stands and don't want to do it, no one is forcing you into it.

The rbb will Poznan, what everyone else does is up to them has always been my understanding... I was amazed at last seasons efforts but that was on the back of our glorious run and when games were over

My interpretation of it is that the result does not matter. We will be here; winning isn't the point, supporting the club is.... Whatever happens on the pitch the voices will be as loud. It's like giving yourself over to that truth.

But yeah I wouldn't expect non active members to do it or feel pressured to do it.

I still love that footage from the semi though... One of the many unifying moments from last season but probably the best.

^^^^^^^^^ I did say that I really REALLY like the solidarity, and yes it's unique in our league, and I know it's a huge talking point.

When it was just the RBB doing it, I know people got their cameras out and filmed it. The commentators love it. I truly do appreciate that aspect of it, but I feel uncomfortable that the players are being ignored.

Actually...( just had a light-bulb moment) with the thousands viewing at home, the players are still being watched! And I'm guessing that many watching on tele would be wishing that they could be part of something as massive as a 19,000 strong group hug!

I think people in the stands enjoy doing the Poznan because they feel they are part of something special. And it is. A whole stadium chanting and jumping for some blokes chasing a ball is special.

Poznan in the 80th in the semi last season was great.

Slightly awkward for me because while I was Poznan-ing, the people in the row right behind me decided to not participate - and the guy in the seat right behind me decided to stare me down for the entire minute or so.

~super awkward~

must've been a roar supporter

^^^^  Yes..I totally agree with you on that!!   :good:  No question! I don't have much doubt that the Semi set the precedent, and that the full stadium Posnan will be a regular feature. Was pretty much done at Penrith...well where I was it happened, and, as I said, even with patchy half Wanderers/half Mariners at Bluetongue, plenty of people got up to attempt it.
