Ive got 3 x RBB tickets that i now cant use. Got a pre GF practice game on Wednesday night.

Happy to forgo for $0 to a fellow Wanderer. Not concerned by the $$, they would have been wasted anyway.

The stadium in Penrith can hold around 20,000. Why do you need to purchase tickets over the Internet? One of the great things about trial games is just rocking up and paying on the night. It's meant to be a last minute decision for a lot of people. I will wait and see for this one if you can pay at the gate.

Fair enough. Wrong thread. Isn't the game at Penrith the same arrangements though? You have to buy tickets over the Internet. I'm not even bothering with this game in Seven Hills.

Questions galore:

I heard this game is going to be capped at 4000 is that true?

How much can this "stadium" hold? It says 7500 on wikipedia.

Is it the same drill as the Campbelltown game, buy your ticket at the gate?

The club sent out an email saying its capped at 4,000. Tickets are not available at the gate and can only be bought online.

Does anyone have a seat map with where the RBB will be?

if the stadiium hasnt changed from last season, then its just one side which has a stand its more like a semi stand, then open hill on either end and no seats just a few long wooden long stool things on the other side. Its pretty much what a local pre season trial match is about grass roots football. Open park with no seats not even really a stadium, you can walk around the whole oval and go wherever u want.hbvsu3.jpg

Cap is at 4000.

No ticket sales at the gate. You have to buy via proticket.

Current sales = approx 50%

sauce: official WSW FB last night.

opinion:

they can get farked. I'm not paying $15 for a preseason game with the added benefit (sic) of mandatory pre-purchase via proticket.

What bs. Last preseason the games were either free or $5. The only game that was $15 was the SydUtd one and everyone went into an uproar over it.

Now it seems SOMEONE is trying to cash in on the fans.

Erebus is not happy.

$5 cheaper than an A-League game (same price using pro-ticket almost)....total b.s

I say if people wanna watch our team train have friendlies etc just rock up at our training ground at Blacktown and you can watch them there for free. This is all this basically is, and I don't think any ticket sales money is going towards our club, would be the hosts and pro ticket.

Slowly corporate greed tries to kick into football again when they see a money making machine such as wsw fans. Blacktown City was the first club to charge entry last pre season after seeing the healthy numbers that turned up at the first 2 trial/friendlies. Now the trend is set, but its just going to kick them in the but. Were not as dumb as we look out here in the west we know when someone wants to take us the fans for a ride.

Someone = Blacktown City FC, who are hosting?

I don't know. You tell me.

Last year we knew it was the host team getting the funds.

This year...we're playing Phoenix at Seven Hills, Adelaide in Penrith.

Who is getting the money?

Who is deciding these (almost) A-league General Admission prices for a preseason hit out?

And then they give us 6 away NSW games which will cost half of our season membership as it is.

I agree the prices are too high.  But I don't mind giving a bit of support to a local club like Blacktown City FC.  They went through a lot of grief when their club went broke a couple of years back and they had to lose the Demons Club.  Their old club is now Lily's Restaurant.  All football clubs struggle financially.  That said, I would have liked to pay at the gate and ALL the money would go to Blacktown City FC.  I think something should be done about all ticket outlets charging so much for people to print their own ticket.

I'll be at this game. Looking forard to it.

It's amazing what a difference 12 months makes. This time last year membership sales had been sluggish and our club was struggling to get even 2,000 members. People were buying memberships just to support the club. People were going to trial games to show the players our support despite the low expectations of a good season on the park.

Contrast to now and you see the club at 15,000 memberships. People buying memberships just to ensure a seat at games. Ticket prices at trial games being raised just to get more coin out of the fans. How things change with success.

I had the same type of rant just 2 weeks ago. I refuse to pay $15 for a ticket when only last season I paid $5 at the same venue. Greedy grubs.

I bought my ticket which cost me in total of just under $20.00

A Season ticket for a concession can be purchased for $90.00 which does not make sence

but the fact the club has capped to the attendance to 4000 instead of the compacity of 7500 which means they need to jack the prices up to make a profit.

I thought the fact that people had to pay to get into the ground for the game at Canberra was bulshit as well but this is how our club makes money to bring us all this good stuff ect so its well worth it in my eyes
