Surely, if everyone is so incensed by the exorbitant ticket prices charged for this game, it is worthwhile voicing your opinion to the club about it?

Not to try and change the venue/price but to put them on notice that WSW fans don't like being taken for a ride (or ripped off), and requesting either a change in venue, or ticket price, for the future. If enough people voice their opinion, the supposed "people's club" would have to start listening.

Drop the club an email or give them a call and let them know you aren't happy. Because not turning up, and staying silent, doesn't change anything. With limited capacity, the ground will be close too, if not, full, regardless of whether you turn up. And the club will be none the wiser.

not really getting ripped off too much. if you go watch a state league game its $15. yeah you get 3 games (U18, 20, premier league), but we are watching two a league sides, which should result in higher quality. plus its money back into the state league sides. got no issues with that.

Support the local leagues... You never know. Next year pre season games could be based on cheapest opposition :)

I will watch our team play anyday for a small admin fee from the corporate tix company..............at the end of the day its a cup of coffee you don't have in a week and you still watch the boys having a kick..................easily well worth it.

My first pre season game this year. No work trips and not moving house as per last two games. Ticket bought, so keen!!!

this place did decent steak sandwiches with onions id give that a preference over the stock standard sausage sizzle

Good. I can go to this match. We're already going to get screwed by proticket and ticketek on the away matches, so I'm not spending more cash on these useless wankers in pre-season.

confirmation that tickets will be available at the gate, as the link doesn't mention it. But im assuming as not all tickets got sold then this would be the general option.

That's poor from whomever is in charge, telling fans it is only available online, then few hours before game time, they said you can buy at the oval...

Especially with their scare tactics to buy tickets online and even the Wanderers members newsletter is saying to get them online.

lillys restaurant/bar will be open for drinks food from 5pm but just checking out their website there's one dress code problem.

  1. Dress Policy
    • No Hoodies  :shok:
    • No Bike Helmets
    • No Hats
    • No Thongs (Ladies are permitted to wear the sandal shoes that we get around in...just no Flip Flops)
    • Work Boots / Tradie Attire – not permitted after 6pm

Happy to give dosh to Blacktown Demons, not happy to give money to proticket, but if you have friends and buy multiple tickets the email charge is still the same and works out cheaper.

obviously the backlash from fans and the poor ticket sales means they have changed their mind.

They turned off a lot of people off by mentioning you had to buy a ticket exclusively online ($15 + proticket fee which is bs in itself). It is just a trial game and an easy game to turn down if it all becomes all too hard. They should have said you can buy tickets online and gates will be open if there are available tickets on the night. They probably would have sold out then.

People can see they were trying to squeeze every last dollar out of people with the price hikes + additional fees. It's not the fact that it is an extra few dollars. It is the fact that they are trying to get it off you in such a corporate type greed. I would have gladly paid $10 at the gate and donated $10 on the night to the club. They would have got $20 out of me and I would have felt better about the whole process.

Anyway I won't be going to this game so I hope there is a decent crowd and we see some new/young players do well tonight. I have heard good things about this McGing guy, so would mind hearing how he goes (if he is playing of course).

Is the train station car park the best place to park for the game ?

Yeah probably. There are plenty of side streets closer but they get pretty jammed up when everyone leaves.
