We really need wsw tv. and we need ffa to sell the ffa cup tv rights really cheaply to a free-to-air channel so we can actually watch!

I'm going to assume here, which is right next door to the ground:

The Sports Bar and Lounge

With five beers and cider on tap and an excellent range of imported beers, and a wide selection of red and white wines and spirits the Sports bar is a great place for a quiet drink after work or a meeting place before hitting the town.

With one of the best ACTTAB agencies in Canberra it is also a great place for a flutter. Three LCD screens broadcast Sky 1 and Sky 2 racing and Giddy up ratings is also available. Keno and Sportsbet also available.

Three Foxtel channels supply all live telecasts of the NRL, AFL, Super 15 Rugby, the A league, the English Premier league and other major sporting events.

A large outdoor area licensed for 100 patrons is also adjacent to the Sports bar.

Was this before or after he realised what the temperature in Canberra will be? I smell a sickie.

It's that time he's spent down at Bondi that has caused the lurgi he's suffering from.

Needs the clean air and good living Bidwill provides...

Capital Football really know how to promote football in the region don't they? Seriously, they have an A-League team playing near the centre of town and rather than promote it, this is the spin they want on it. Hopeless.

Probably the only way that there was going to be any press on it would have to be about flares which is really disappointing.

I think the finger should be directed solely at the press in this situation, the Canberra official was just answering questions put to them about the flares. The article could have been about how exciting it is for fans in Canberra to see an aleague team, how it is testing the waters for expansion or even about how some WSW fans will bring some passion for football instead it's all about anti social behavior and flares!! Sure put a sentence in about the flares but the whole article? Bitch please!

*Bang* What's that? Oh yeah, it's football in Canberra shooting itself in the foot. When you assume disaster, you will find a way to make it seem a disaster. It's a self - fulfilling prophecy. I wonder sometimes if we will ever get beyond this bullshit.

In the foot? They blew those off years ago. :P

So, inviting a mob of hoons down every year in various forms of hotted up cars and such like in a celebration of bogan kulcha is something to be celebrated in our nation's capital (hello, SummerNats), whereas a friendly game of football played mid week in the freezing cold of a Canberra winter is going to be an orgy of pyro...

FFS!!

Nice to see that Capital Football and the CT journos are doing their best to live up to the paradigm established by a guy who spent a lot of time around Canberra back in the day, coaching the old City NSL team...now, what was his name again?

Who was it ...maybe this pic might jog some memories
