So excited for the new season, won't be surprised if they bring a whole new level of intensity thanks to the great experience they have learned from the ACL and can't wait for Romeo Castelen when he plays for us this year.

nervous, nervous, nervous!  We have had a great 'pre-season', but opening night.. against the Victory.. in Melbourne.. it will be tough!

2-2. Berisha and Muscat getting it on after realising how much they have in common.

Will be interesting to see who partners Hamill as the other CB on Friday night.

BTW MV fans on twitter reporting that the WSW active allocation of 1500 seats has sold out.

We have so many CBs in the squad, how hard could it be to find someone?

If it's not Spira, then I would think Golec or La Rocca.

We do have choices, hence my post.

I dare say Popa will be thinking that the defensive choices he makes, may have to play both rounds 1 & 2.

Spira hasn't played any football since July & therefore, he would be somewhat of a risk,

Golec has made the LB role his own,

La Rocca is needed in midfield to nullify MV attack mindered playmakers.

Mullen could move to CB, but with Alessi on YS duty, Cole would have to fill in at RB,

Yianni is also a potential replacement.

Doubt Tomi would be permitted to be part of the squad until the following week against ESFC, given that he was unable to fulfill his NT duties on 10/10 & 14/10.

If he's fit there would be no pressure on him not to play from Ange I don't think. The main reason they didn't take him was the long flight there and back is not the best to help injuries. If he's fit he can be in the squad - no issue I believe.

Guys, Will there be a designated meeting place pre-game?

For safety reasons, yes. We'll all meet at the airport, it will be the only place we are guaranteed security..... stay close.... :ninja:

Cheers, What time do we need to be at the airport by?

COVIC or Poljak to captain.

1-1 draw

Bridge shall wear the captain's armband, whenever NTS is absent.
