I don't want to be trotting out the we won the ACL some didn't have a proper preseason and will have a congested fixture schedule as reasons why we lose games this season. I just want us to fight and scrap for as many points we can this season. Let's do this WSW, let's go over there (not give away free kicks at the edge of the box) and fight!!

No La Rocca makes sense since he played 90mins against Wellington and Poljak didn't play at all. Also Hamill didn't play last weekend so he can step in for NTS. Wouldn't be surprised if Mullen gets a break and Cole steps into RB since they're in the same situation and Golec could come in for Adeleke at LB. Trifiro could start again in the middle. Saba and Bridge have had a break and Haliti only played 5mins on the weekend.

I keep forgetting how awesome our squad depth is now that Ruka and Adeleke are up and running.

From Taurus on Twitter:

No Ante, NTS or La Rocca and Saba, Bridge and Dean to play a role

NTS away with NT, Ante being rested has been confirmed.

I regard to La Rocca I'm assuming he get a rest as he's only other player in starting 11 last week, that figured prominently in ACL campaign.

Points are a must from this game. The depth of our squad will be tested and I imagine we will see a young bench.

I want to see Marty Lo get a run!!

Bouzanis

Alessi - Spira - Hamill - Adeleke

Poljak - Trifiro

Castelen - Saba - Bridge

Juric

But I usually get this wrong lol

Close.

I expect Cole to start at RB.

Adeleke should retain his spot, although, Popa may play Golec at LB & either Perkatis or even Seyi as a DM in place of Trifiro.

Its worth remembering that Mateo usually plays left sided DM, so Trifiro may get another chance playing right sided DM.

I also think Ruka starts on the bench & is used as an impact player, either wide left or centrally if Tomi is cooked.

BTW Marty was given a rest after 60 mins last Sunday as a precaution. Club are managing his workload.

The team may have depth, but is the talent pool really that deep? I'm not at all convinced that the team is that strong on an individual basis. I mean, Bridge and Santalab are amongst our default 11! Sure they try, have experience and likely come cheap, but it isn't as though they set the world alight with their skill, or general attitude in the case of Santalab.

That all said, I'm well aware that the Wanderers' strength is the structure and work ethic of the collective unit, but of late I have started to wonder if some players, particularly one or two in defence, are up to scratch and capable of fulfilling their role in the team.

I hope that everything comes together like in season 1, but that doesn't mean that I won't complain every step of the way.

What's wrong with Marty? Is school cramping his style?

Marty only played 3 games last season due to an upper leg (thigh / hip) injury.

He's still very young (16) & his body is probably still adjusting to training basically every day.

Exactly, only a kid.

at 16 yrs, it may take upto 4-5 years before he is a regular first team starter.

Thats 20-21 years old, which is still relativelty young

Yeah, if you're going to be :cheeky:, I may just happen to misplace that envelope. :nono:

Take the Saddam Hussein picture with a little humour. It's a staunch overreaction (get the **** out) to a play on words I find appalling (totes mcgotes). No offense is implied.

"Totes mcgotes" is a highly technical term.

Get out.
