tomi juric was explosive tonight, especially in the second half, i really think he will have a huge season this season. with tomi, troisi, saba and castelen in the team we will definately be a force next season. hamill was abit shakey and nervous on the ball a few times but was pretty impressive. all in all a great performance. As for bozza running saba into the ground, he really needs to pull his head out of ognenovski (who never has a good thing to say about the wanderer's while hosting) and sydney fc's asses, quite pathetic if you ask me.

Anyways #COYW

Bozza calling Saba scum... Basically.

Bozza would know...

Bozza can gtfo.

Turncoat

Mark Bosnich, please

There's a photo of Bozza that we all know of that I would post here, but I don't want to risk offending anyone or getting a ban,

Healthy Harold should show a video of him laughing to every school kid in the state, a perfect example of why you shouldn't do drugs

classic dive from La Rocca

3 extra minutes and a red card to the opponents

another red card and a dive by Saba

not a dive by Saba, studs to the face

Gotta disagree there, that second red was very harsh...Guangzhou player tried to pull his leg outta the way and only just knocked Saba. In saying that, I wouldn't change anything. Bloody hilarious seeing Lippi lose it like that.

First half was very ordinary but we were brilliant for most of the second half. If Juric plays like that all season then he's got the Golden Boot wrapped up, he was brilliant. All over their defence with his strength and positioning.

I'll take the 1-0 win, gonna be a tough away leg and anything can happen but a great first leg result to get a cleano and pick up the win.

Bring on next week.

i agree it was not a deserved red but he still got studs to the face

Pretty sure it was just a knee. But hey who cares...red card, Lippi exploding, Guangzhou players furious, and we take the points. Love it.

Sorry, second red was definitely a red, if you watch it on replay, he has his foot near his head but instead of pulling away he left his foot in. You can't do that, had he took his foot away straight away I could understand but he didn't do that... He purposely left his foot in, left his mark and then took the foot away, accident or not, you can't do that....

Also on the interview you could see a bruise left on his face, he might have been putting it on but how about you get a boot to the face, how are you going to react?

just back from the game.

I'm exhausted.

i have to admit that i lost my **** when i saw lippi on the field.

he should have been sent to the stands for running and confronting the ref.

this game had so much action in the last 15 minutes that i need to watch a replay of it.

I had my scream mask tonight, rep me if you saw it - rep me brah.

Seriously what an incredible night, their fans sucked, their coach is a POS, their players are dogs, they have too much money and no one gave us a chance in hell.

I love this team more every week.

You've got me WSW until the day I die.

Lippi walked off without shaking poppas hand. Disrespectful like we're second rate.

popa was fuming

Did Lippi really walk off without shaking popa's hand, ****ing scum if he did. I was over in the East stand and last 10  mins were just a blur!

Walking to the ground and seeing the floodlights shining bright again, seeing the band take their position and the first chant go up from the RBB.

**** IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD TO BE BACK  :clapping:  :woah:  :woah:  :woah:

Another memorable ACL night at Wanderland  :good:

Marcello Lippi, surely a manager of his reputation and experience should know better, even if he thought that it wasn't a send off

Yep, a manager of his experience should be able to take the knocks that don't go your way and show some restraint and self respect.

Also I think I heard the Evergrange fans singing once, good turn out, poor performance.

That was one of the more... interesting nights at Parramatta Stadium.

The first red card was "wtf did that just happen", and the second I didn't see - but I thought he elbowed Saba in the stomach or something.

We better get through to the semi cause I can't wait until late October for another hit of this!!!! After tonight I need regular games again!

"@mcintinhos: Just spoke to @vitorsaba post ACL match who claimed Lippi approached him in the tunnel, called him a diver and tried to fight him!"

sounds like a class act

One of their defenders lashed out and kicked Juric in the first half. Tripped him up a bit, he looked to the linesman who appeared to wave it away like he didn't see anything.

Don't know who it was, but if there's a post match review for these kinds of incidents in the ACL they may be missing another player.

This happened right in front of me and was 100% a red card if the referee saw it or the linesman had enough of a sack to call it. If they review it post match I don't know how he wouldn't get suspended.

Also they need to change their motto from "be the best forever" to "we just ate a big bag of ****".

one game into serious football season 3 and I've already had one of the greatest nights in ages. my God I love this team. There was a post from TheSmileyBandit earlier in the week that I'd already put up as my screen saver at work ...... against all odds stuff, best post I've ever seen on this forum by a country mile. It's now my Summer 14/15 mission statement. Life can be hard much of the time. For what its worth I'm clinging on to that inspirational post and match for as long as I bloody can. COYW !

Before anyone else states it

Adelaide City beat WSW

WSW beat Evergrande

Therefore Adelaide City > Evergrande :P

Also, at the start of the match, Club owner paid the trip for 1,000 traveling away fans says cockerill in the commentary, surely not? I mean, they paid for the tickets, okay, but funding accommodation and flights?
