I think Guangzhou have sold out their away bay in the south terrace as I am unable to dummy buy tickets anymore in that section!

RBB ticket allocations are still available.

I'm backing that the rain will suit us,

I can't think of anything worse than playing in a foreign country on a wet, cold winter's night

The rain has come at a perfect time.

Guangzhao got in to Sydney late last night / early this morning, with heavy rain and strong winds greeting them. They get up this morning, and are forced to spend the day in their hotel, because no pitch in Sydney is playable as they're all underwater, throwing preparations into chaos.

Hopefully the rain sticks around for another 24 hours, so they don't get a proper hitout tomoro either, which then results in no training sessions in the lead up to the game on Wednesday  :good:

Exactly.

Personally I wouldn't mind if Wednesday night was a filthy windy night with heavy soaking rain making for a very heavy pitch perfect for slide and heavy challenges and with a ref who is happy to let a few go. :aggressive:

I hope they cancel the game if weather stays like this.

Toughen up, princess ;)

His hair might get wet :help:   :D

Potential Line-Up for the game against the Chinese?

Taurus, can you shed any light on a possible team?

I'd like to see something like this......

Covic

Cole - Hamill - NTS - Golec

Poljak - La Rocca

Haliti - Saba - Bridge

Juric

I think we lose too much when La Rocca is not at central midfield. I know his partnership with NTS is one that we've used before, but I really really really rate Hamill, and think we're stronger with Hamill at CB and La Rocca at CM, than La Rocca at CB and Trifiro at CM. Also, Kubi stinks, so I'd rather play Haliti out of position on the right, but that probably won't happen. I'd start Saba, but given he is still well behind the others as far as fitness goes, I wouldn't be surprised to see him come off the bench.

What will probably happen........

Covic

Cole - La Rocca - NTS - Golec

Poljak - Trifiro

Kubi - Bridge - Haliti

Juric

Whatever happens, in Popa we trust  :good:

We need La Rocca in the mid.

we have Hamill, NTS, Golec who can play CB

So Mullen can play RB and Cole can play LB if needed.

I'm not sure on the fitness/injured status of these players though.

IMO Mullen or even Alessi will start at RB & Hamill who has impressed at training, could play CB alongside NTS.

I agree with Erebus that La Rock should be playing in our midfield. Hopefully Popa agrees.

I'm hoping Saba is unleashed on Wednesday night as the Chinese would not have been able to scout him much since he arrived.

The other player we have that excels in wet conditions is Haliti. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get some game time in this match.

Cole has recovered fully from his ankle injury, leaving Santa & to a lesser extent Golec as our only injury issues as of last Friday.
