This Iranian ref was 4th official at the 2014 World Cup opener (Brazil v cros) whilst the Japanese ref for that game will also be reffing the ACL second leg for us.

Yuichi Nishimura is the closest referee to run the second leg in Riyadh.

The Middle Eastern referees have been my favourite in the ACL. Seem to let the game flow and get conned by dives less often.

The refereeing in our ACL games has been way ahead of A-League refereeing standards. Let's hope it continues for the final. I'm sick of the pathetic decisions of A-League referees being the deciding factor in so many league games. It doesn't help that the w*nker "analysts" on Foxtel (one ex-goalkeeper in particular should take grammar/elocution lessons) talk up the outrage for what in some cases is merely aggressive tackling. I invariably groan when seeing who's officiating our matches. The only A-League referee with any credibility is Strevbe Delovski. Wasn't it that clown Griffiths-Jones who was appalling in our game against Roar last season when Brattan continuously tried to remove body parts from Hersi? I think Brattan eventually got a yellow after about the fourth chop on Hersi. Come Saturday night he dishes a red to Saba for a a side-on, one footed, toe to ball clean connection interception... unbelievable. I think a lot of people also forget that Saba was cynically brought down at least 3-4 times in the space of about ten minutes in the first half... it seemed like just about every time he was on the ball going forward. And how a guy is ruled not to be "interfering with an opponent" when practically standing on top of a goalkeeper on his goal line is beyond me. Popa should have his strikers sitting permanently on and shadowing/blocking opposition keepers. Griffith-Jones would be better filling his time with those media-tart guest appearances on the B-League.

Worried about Juric. He is soooo fragile. Bet he doesn't start on Saturday (and he would be a big advantage for us). As we need to win Saba will start (and he can have a rest for the next two A-league games anyway).

Haliti to replace Santa - who must be doubtful to even make the squad. Kubi will be back in to replace Romeo (unfortunately!)

Juric does seem to have a set of glass legs on him, he spent big parts of last season on the side lines. It will hold his career back if he doesn't get it sorted, he badly needs a long problem free run in the side! Nothing to prove ability wise, you can see he has got what it takes. Just hope he doesn't become one of these players that never progresses because of injury,

No-one should be allowed to referee if they have a hyphenated name!

Even his parents hated him, gave him 2 Surnames... :ninja:

Interesting they are here a week in advance. Will our boys be headed straight over next Sunday?

Roughly a 16+ hour flight, with a days rest needed due jetlag, hoping they fly out Monday at latest!

Where do you guys get all this information about the club?

And what about non-Islamic players? Do they still have to pray?

From Twitter : @Alhilal_FC and @Almodrjalhilali

No they don't have to pray! the prayer take only 3-5min
