baccus rubbish and for popa to come out to say amazing, well that just is going to piss of the other players. did nothing that anyone else cant to the same.  there are too many players looking like there just going through  the motion and picking up the pay packet.  look at some of the top team they play for the shirt and passion.

The only positive is that they haven't dropped their heads, and defensively they still have it.

A lot of other clubs would've packed it in by now and hit panic stations.

I get that rotation has worked, but rotating for the sake of it is pointless.

Juric better be fit to play 90 minutes on saturday

What i dont get is how Popa manages to make the decision to take off Baccus who was a true breathe of fresh air in midfield and replaces him for La Rocca so we have 2 donkeys defending our 1-0 loss...... gobsmacked.

Ohwell. Were exactly where we belong at the moment. God i hope we pick up our game.

I was of the same opinion. Given we were 1-0 down and winless for the season should we going all out last 20 to get the WIN not playing for a draw. This I don't understand. Losing 1 or 2 nil trying to get the win same sh!t IMO but at least you gave it a go trying to get the win. This is not asian cup there is no second leg. I love popa but like against the smurfs doesn't seem like we're going for the kill in the second half or at least the last 20 min when were behind

Ned Zelic needs a boot up the arse and then be shown the door. The worst commentator in the A League, even the Kiwi ones.

Does he have any ***** idea what he's talking about??!! He should just **** off with his bullshiit jibber jabber.

5mins before he goes live on air hes in the bathroom snorting cocaine...

Next time u watch good old ned during any early morning sbs coverage check his eyes & head movements lmfao

(Probably more pertinent to the minority of forum users like myself who have actually taken illicit drugs ) :-0

Baccus was good, he's coming along nicely.

I thought he was ordinary in the first half but much improved & showed a bit while he was in in the second half

Considering he has very few minutes at this level he has shown extraordinary composure at times to take a man on near his own third and beat him comfortably. His range of passing is looking good.

As a DM I really like him, he provides some attacking impetus (especially in initiating play from deep)

I think that this was that team going all out for the win lol There was no lack of application or effort, the issue is that the attack / midfield looked like they had all just met each other out the back of the stadium and then thrown on the pitch, no understanding or creativity there at all tonight.

I think Popa might have ripped in to them tonight after that performance,

We suck.

Seems like I made the right decision to not only stay in Canberra, but to also go for a swim at 8.30*... 3 points from 8 games - Real Madrid eat your heart out.

Sounds like the team probably deserved a boo or two. No matter the fact that we are Asian champions, with 3 points after 8 games it's entirely reasonable for us to be vocally disappointed with the team and coach.

Hopefully the team can pull off a win on 1 January, but knowing our luck that ridiculous world club jamboree will do nothing but ruin the remainder of the season... That said, maybe another break from the domestic league is exactly what the players need.

Anyway, 6th spot is all we need for a chance to finally win the toilet seat. So long as we are still in the running for that come the final round, I'll be marginally content.

*if I hadn't been swimming I would have been playing touch, so I was going to miss the broadcast no matter what.

Looked a penna all day to me....don't see the issue there, pretty clear cut.

The ref didn't let the game flow for sure and stopped us taking a good few quick free kicks, but the penna looked the right call.

Rubbish performance much like most of this season with exception to the first half last week against ESFC.

The reality is that we didn't recruit well this season, especially our imports. Adeleke is rubbish and should be sent straight back to Serie C - no refund necessary. Castelen has potential but he can never stay on his feet, and has no confidence in front of goal. Maybe he needs new boots or something but he has got to do better especially in front of goal. Shoot bloody. Saba too inconsistent, flashes of brilliance with a lot of nothing to go with it.

The biggest issues this year is that we have no midfielder to link the defense and attack. We have no one striker besides Juric that can score. We have no one that can deliver a quality set piece. We have no left back again.

In popa I trust but I think it's time he changes formation to get the best out of the players we have. We are too one dimensional. No plan B visible. 8 games with 0 wins tells me something needs to change. Start 2 strikers, play a 3-5-2 if need be (hamill, NTS, Spira) is enough at the back or a 4-4-2 but we need something new to surprise the opposition.

That's my rant for tonite. Hats off to all the fans who attended the game. 10,500 midweek in crazy conditions is fantastic as were the RBB as always.
