3 of us going, I have 6 tickets. 3 for the Topor-Standley and 3 in bay 56, hedging my bets and options..

Pro Level

+12 wet weather Exp Points

Got some hardcore ponchos as well, however to wear a poncho in bay 56 is just not the done thing I feel...

Its not the getting wet during the game that bothers me, its the walk to Parra station and the train trip to the Riff that hurts

This was released at 9am on the pirtek website (if anyone knows fluid transfer, surely its pirtek):

http://pirtekstadium.com/news-article/acl-western-sydney-wanderers-v-kashima-antlers

Tonight’s Asian Champions League game between the Western Sydney Wanderers and Kashima Antlers will proceed as planned at this stage. The significant weather event currently impacting Sydney has resulted in over 130mm of rain at the Venue.

The playing surface will be inspected throughout the day as well as other Venue infrastructure which may have been impacted by the rain and high winds.

If needed there may be some changes to entry points of the Venue, so we ask attending patrons to work with Venue staff to ensure a safe entry and exit from the Venue.

We will update this information as it becomes available on our website and social media pages

Be great if we get more tonight than the NRL got last night. Not sure what the crowd was - I saw some clips on the news and there was no-one there - but we can beat it I'm sure!

they announced high 3000s but when ABC radio crossed to the ground just before kickoff they said there would be lucky to be > 400 there, that's 4 hundred, not thousand.

someone was counting brain cells not bodies.

wow, 4 thousand turned up! I couldnt see anyone at all on the news clips. That's a pretty decent turnout (by the Souths fans I guess)

I'd rather get wet like I've been stranded in the ocean for hours with sharks circling me then wear a poncho and loose my dignity..

We need to win but we also need Evergande to give Seoul a good seeing to.

I reckon Kashmiri can beat Seoul at home in the last game (or at least get a point) so we need to be ahead of Seoul after this round to take the pressure off us against Evergrande.

Not just for the lolz (okay, mostly for the lolz), but it a)flows better, b) is correct linguistically*, c) annoys Megan and Erebus and d) .... as long as people are singing it, who gives a ****?

*I can't even think of the correct ******* word at the moment. Oh the irony!

how come jacko only agrees with me on game day, when he's likely to see me at the pub?

this keeps up tomorrow is going to be fuuuuuunnnnnnn :woah:

but if it could just **** off until about 5 tomorrow would be great otherwise the **** will get postponed

Whats the chance of that realistically happening?

Was thinking that as well. Read somewhere they were expecting another 80mm of rain tomorrow? Would be an AFC decision i guess

I've read up on the regulations. If the game can't start due to weather conditions then:

1) The match must be delayed for 30 minutes.

2) The referee can decide to play after the 30 minutes is up.

3) Or can add an additional delay of 30 minutes if the game might be able to start

4) Or cancel the match.

5) If after the delay from 3), the game still can't start, it's cancelled.

6) The AFC has two hours after the cancellation to determine if it can be rescheduled.

The same applies to a match delayed during play then subsequently abandoned.

If a game is rescheduled after being abandoned while in play, it restarts from when the match was called off, not fully replayed.

so are you basically saying we can get there and hang around in the rain for an hour then they will decide to cancel it :good:

sounds like fun.

If it gets called off, let's all go to EJs!

Hawas down the road is a lot better :xnod:

I'm feeling like a #nopyronoparty type situation tonight...

Could be our last home ACL game for at least 22 months?

As posted in the NRL thread, I was there and there was no way 4k. NRL are jacking up the attendance. Realistically 1k.
