Would it be fair to say that Hamill is our best central defender based on pre season form? From what I have heard about reports of Hamill is that he has had a good pre season and Alberto and Topor both have been a little average. How would Hamill and Alberto suit as a combo?

It seems from what I have read so far this pre season is that Hamill, Nichols, Castelen, Andreu and Jamieson have been our best players. Also Redmayne has been better than Bouzanis.

It's hard just say who our best CB is at the moment. Because Hamill is a number of weeks further ahead in his preseason than the other 2 senior CB's.

True. But I am a fan of players who have shown good pre season form. It shows that they are enthusiastic and their mind is on the job. Generally it also means they play well during the season.

Hamill will start at RB against Perf

I think that could work.

I was there a few observations.

The header goal was scored right in front of me player created lots of distance between them self and the defender making it a really easy goal
The Penalty was pretty weak in terms of being awarded
Apia played 5 youth players as most are on holidays
Olsen played well for Apia the chairmen of Apia said he was playing for a contract.
Police weren't anywhere to be seen and not too much security

Highlight of the night, Castelens sweet cross and feds clean header. Fed looks dangerous and man, he's gotta be the stockiest player we've ever had, which is great for keeping possession/throwing off defenders. Hopefully a sign of things to come. Brisbane Roar at home is a MUST WIN for morale and piece of mind.. we can't have another massacre like last year by the victory.

It couldn't be colder than it was there for last year's preseason game vs APIA.

I remember that night first watching some Brazilian guy we had just signed called Vitor Saba. He came over to us after the final whistle and gave us all a big thank you. I remember thinking "this guy will do well here"

Your judgement was clouded, just as it is to this day...

Hey you're supposed to post about how good WSW is looking so early on in the new lineup.

Thanks.

Hey D...

That meme reminds me...in the Wanderers catchment are the Hills really filled with the sound of music? or just faux westies?  :ninja:  :ninja:

As an aforementioned faux westie, I think I would say a little from column a, a little from column b!

So what is faux westie music Megan?

Nickelback?

The header goal was scored right in front of me player created lots of distance between them self and the defender making it a really easy goal  the greatest goal I've ever seen

The Penalty was pretty weak in terms of being awarded most definitely a penalty and was taken beautifully.

Apia played 5 youth players as most are on holidays

Olsen played well for Apia the chairmen of Apia said he was playing for a contract.

Police weren't anywhere to be seen and not too much security because I volunteered to be a spy.

I agree with your conclusions mate :P
