Quote of the night from a Spanish friend who is watching the game with us.

Speaking of Berisha... after his carry on about being called off side (on a shot which Reddy saved anyway)

"This guy...he's a little bit nuts!"

Lol...only bright spot all game really.

Sigh!!

Last post from me for the night - why have so few travelled to Melbourne for this season-defining clash?

I thought you were going to take 4K to Melbourne easy for regular mid season games, but I see about 100 in the away bay, and saw half a corner bay vs Jets a couple weeks back?

I did tell you that travelling to away games and spending the equivalent of two season memberships on one away game will get less and less appealing..

Second half was one of our worst showings all season. Not good enough at this stage of the season.

Yeah, we usually lift to the challenge but they rattled us 2nd half tonight, closed down our game. Would have been a different story if they were down to 10 men, but that's football i guess

Speaking of allocations to away bays. I seem to recall you couldnt even manage to sell you allocation out for a Grand Final. Supposedly the biggest match of the year.  :cheeky:  :cheeky:

If we don't win the plate (likely) it's because we weren't good enough. All those games we dominated but drew, the one thrown away against Brisbane, the Wellington debacle. We had all the chances to taks a stranglehold on this season but wilted.

That's an accurate assessment IMO. Western Suburbs find themselves in contention for the league due to a strong early season form, and given the draw I think you are still in with a good shout to win the plate. From then on you just need 2 wins to win your first ever A-League title, but I still don't see you beating City, Roar, Adelaide (and Victory too by the looks of it) to get there, not with Bridge leading the line.

FFS, how many penalties will Victory be denied tonight? I think they had 4 penalty shouts, 2 of which were stonewall.

You're season ends here fapbitch, go make an Arnold out banner.

I don't buy this 'we weren't good enough' bullshit. Maybe we lacked the mental toughness to deal with the refs unbelievable decision to not send that ******* prick off but we played well enough to score 2 against 10 men. Unfortunately we live in the alternate universe where everything is shite.
